Koshu Sake

DESCRIPTION

Koshu Sake Bar, located at The Plant in Pittsboro, was born from the vision of founder Kalim Hasan and his passion for sharing the art and culture of Japanese sake with the local community in Chatham County. Inspired by the discovery of Koshu, a rare aged sake renowned for its depth and character, Kalim pursued an apprenticeship at Ben’s American Sake in Asheville, NC – the state’s only commercial sake brewery. This hands-on experience deepened his appreciation for the craftsmanship and dedication behind sake-making and inspired him to bring this tradition to our community.

Specializing in a curated selection of premium, barrel-aged sakes, Koshu Sake combines the ancient art of sake brewing with modern American innovation. They celebrate the elegance of rare and vintage sakes paired with Japanese-inspired snacks and instant ramen, all within a warm and inviting atmosphere. More than a bar, Koshu is a gathering place for those who appreciate culture, flavor, and the beauty of shared experiences. They host an anime night every Thursday from 6pm-8pm.
