Roost also offers a selection of draft beers, wines by the glass selected by Fearrington sommelier Paula de Pano, bottled ales and water, and nibbles ranging from salted Virginia peanuts in the shell to simple dishes prepared by the Fearrington House Restaurant, including a cheese plate, charcuterie, ploughman’s platter and fried chicken platters.
In early April 2010, Roost’s home and garden treasures were moved to Dovecote to make way for something quite different – a beer garden! Set in a casual courtyard under large oak trees, Roost offers a charming place to share a drink and conversation with friends and family al fresco! We’ve feathered our nest with outdoor seating under the trees and by the fountain. Inside Roost, we’re proud to sell beers on tap by Carolina Brewery, a locally-owned brewery that has drawn international attention for its handcrafted beers. We carry their award-winning signature beers Flagship IPA (Gold Medal, Great American Beer Festival), Copperline Amber Ale (Gold Medal, World Beer Championships), and Sky Blue Golden Ale (Silver Medal, World Beer Championships).
