DESCRIPTION:An annual tradition returns to downtown with the Pittsboro Christmas Parade on Sun\, Dec 14\, 3pm-5pm. There will be beautifully decorated floats built by local groups and businesses\, filled to the brim with cheer and festive spirit\, with fun costumes\, floats\, twinkling lights\, and more. Seating will not be provided. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. \nRegistration to participate in the parade is now open. Click to register your group today! DESCRIPTION:The Pittsboro Street Fair\, hosted by the Rotary Club of Pittsboro\, returns to downtown Pittsboro on Sat\, Oct 25\, 10am-6pm. Neighbors gather and the community shines at this family-friendly event featuring over 100 vendors\, live music\, a Trike Race\, and family entertainment.  \nThe Pittsboro Street Fair is the Rotary Club of Pittsboro’s largest fundraiser\, enabling it to continue its year-round support of our Chatham community. Admission is free\, and proceeds support the Rotary initiatives\, including local food drives\, school supplies for local schools\, Meals on Wheels\, scholarships for students\, and more. The club uses Postal Fish Company as its headquarters and VIP area. The cost to participate is $45 per team. Check-in is from 9:30am-10:45am at Havoc Brewing Company. Breakfast\, coffee\, and juice will be provided for participants from local restaurants. Upon sign-in\, each team will receive a swag bag with coupons from local businesses\, snacks\, and their first clue. Teams who accrue the most points for challenges completed will win big prizes! \n1st place wins $500\, 2nd wins $300\, and 3rd wins $200. There are also great prize baskets for Unique Team Name\, Most Enthusiastic/Team Spirit\, and Best Costumes\, so get those creative juices flowing! Families can also enjoy festive crafts and activities under the pavilion and a spooktacular photo area. Be sure to bring a bag or bucket to collect your treats. A parent must accompany their children at all times. The event is free and no registration is required. \nSun\, Nov 19\, 3:30pm-6:30pm Holly Days 2023\, Pittsboro’s Tree Lighting Celebration\nThe Pittsboro Business Association invites you to downtown Pittsboro for a fun-filled tree-lighting ceremony. Santa will be there\, and there will be plenty of things to do for all ages. The event includes food trucks\, an assortment of entertainment on the main stage\, a train ride\, a bouncy house\, and a vendor market. \nSun\, Dec 10\, 3pm-6pm Downtown Pittsboro Christmas Parade\nHoliday traditions return to Pittsboro! The annual Christmas Parade features beautifully decorated floats built by local groups and businesses\, fun costumes and floats\, twinkling holiday lights\, and more. SUMMARY:Pittsboro Treasure Quest
DESCRIPTION:Participate in a scavenger hunt (in teams of up to 6 people) to find the treasure\, with prizes of $500 for first place\, $300 for second place\, and $200 for third place. The adventure begins with a kickoff at the SoCo patio\, with live music and a festive start. Judges and the party will be stationed at The Mod. \nBegin at 10:30am with a packet of clues leading to local businesses\, landmarks\, and special guest locations. Teams will complete a challenge before heading to their next stop. Prizes will be awarded for the best team name\, car decoration\, and costumes. \nThe highest scoring teams will win the biggest prizes\, but no group will leave empty handed. \nThe entry fee is $25/team for early registrations and $30 after April 15.
