From murals to music\, creativity thrives here.  Pittsboro is a place where history and progress go hand in hand! \nMore than a social district\, Downtown Pittsboro is a thriving community hub\, filled with one-of-a-kind businesses\, welcoming pubs\, and diverse eateries. As you participate in the Arts Walk\, take the opportunity to discover the unique shops and galleries that make Pittsboro truly special. Enjoy the local artistry\, chat with business owners\, and soak in Pittsboro’s small-town charm. \nThis October edition of Pittsboro Finally Fridays Arts Walk features the second annual Downtown Mask Parade for people and pets. Participants can gather at the Downtown Pop-Up Park at 50 West Salisbury Street before parading through the Social District with the event mascot and concluding with a costume contest and award ceremony on the SOCO patio. Additional activities include face decorating\, pumpkin painting\, local pet-focused vendors and organizations\, and an ice cream eating contest that was rescheduled due to rain. This special evening adds a festive fall twist to the monthly Arts Walk while celebrating creativity\, community\, and downtown Pittsboro. \nWHAT TO EXPECT \n\nSip and Stroll: Grab your Arts Walk glass and enjoy select beverages from participating establishments as you move through the district.\nExplore Local Businesses: Visit boutiques\, galleries\, and shops showcasing local craftsmanship and creativity.\nDine and Unwind: Sample Pittsboro’s culinary delights at the town’s array of pubs and eateries\, each offering a unique flavor of the community.\nEngage with Local Artists: Meet artists and makers displaying their work throughout the evening.\n\nWhether you’re a longtime resident or a first-time visitor\, this is your chance to experience the energy\, creativity\, and hospitality that define our town. DESCRIPTION:The Pittsboro Street Fair will return to downtown Pittsboro on Saturday\, Oct. 31\, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.\, rain or shine. The annual event features more than 100 vendors\, food trucks\, live music and activities for all ages along Hanks\, Fayetteville and Salisbury streets. Attendees can also watch the annual Trike Race from noon to 3 p.m. Admission is free\, and shuttle service will be available from Central Carolina Community College. Proceeds support Rotary Club of Pittsboro community programs\, including scholarships\, CORA’s Turkey Tuesday\, Meals on Wheels and Books for Every Reader.
