DESCRIPTION:Come and celebrate springtime with Chatham County Parks\, Recreation\, and Cultural Resources during their annual EGGstreme Spring Fling on Sat\, Apr 11\, 10am-1pm at the Pittsboro Campus for Central Carolina Community College. This event is outdoors. Community members are welcome to participate in an egg hunt\, field games\, springtime crafts\, take a picture with the Spring Bunny\, get glitter tattoos\, and enjoy other festivities. Parks and Recreation will also be joined by other departments and organizations to celebrate the season\, including Art Vendors selling their handmade merchandise! Be sure to bring your Easter Basket to collect your eggs and other goodies! \nThe tentative event schedule is as follows: \n\n11:15am Bunny Hop Race (Sack Race).\n11:30am “Egg Toss” (Water Balloon Toss).\n12pm 0-3 year-old Egg Hunt.\n12:15pm 4-6 year-old Egg Hunt.\n12:30pm 7-9 year-old Egg Hunt.\n12:45pm 10+ year-old Egg Hunt.\n\nIn the event of inclement weather\, a rain date is scheduled for Sun\, Apr 12\, 2pm-5pm. SUMMARY:Reindeer Run 5K
DESCRIPTION:Join Chatham Partnership for Children at Central Carolina Community College for their annual Reindeer Run 5K on Sat\, Dec 13\, 8am-11am. Their USATF-certified course will start at CCCC and head towards downtown Pittsboro\, then loop back for a finish at the campus. The 5K will start at 8am for all runners\, with Race Day registration concluding at 7:45am. Please arrive early to pick up your race bib and find a parking spot. \nAwards will be given for the following categories: \n\nIndividual overall.\nIndividual age groups.\nTeams.\n\nRace Day registration for the Reindeer Run 5K is limited to individual runners and Fun Run participants. Shirts will most likely not be available for these registrants. \nGet ready for big smiles and little feet flying—Rudolph’s Fun Run is back! This joyful mini-race is perfect for our youngest runners\, taking place entirely on the CCCC campus with an easy\, fun ¾-mile course. The race kicks off at 9:10am\, and every child who crosses the finish line will be greeted by Rudolph and friends with a medal. When you register\, you’ll also have the option to order a race t-shirt. There is no need to attend packet pickup events for this one\, unless you want to receive the t-shirt before the race; all other Fun Run items will be handed out on race day.
