Celebrity Dairy hosts dinners on the third Sunday afternoon of each month. Dinner menus change with the seasons and always include award-winning Celebrity Dairy Goat cheese. Hosts Brit and Fleming Pfann enjoy sharing their home and everyday farm happenings and, sometimes, it includes helping mother goats deliver kids.
They lovingly prepare dinner with the same care and creativity that goes into the production of the Celebrity Cheese. You and your guests arrive at 1:30pm for a bit of socializing over appetizers and goat cheese. Either Brit or Fleming gives a brief welcome and the “cheese chat” at 2pm. The conversation covers things they have discovered in their years of cheesemaking.
Guests then seat themselves at a long common large table for the four-five course meal. Take a break after the main course to tour the barn and cheese room or relax a bit or wander about the inn.
Later, enjoy dessert and coffee or tea. They love to have guests linger as long as schedules permit. Sunset is lovely from the upstairs porch of the Inn. The Inn is fully air-conditioned for summer and in cool weather, take in the warmth of the fire burning in the fireplace. Bring your preferred wine or beer, if you wish. Vegetarian entrees are available upon request and recipes are available for the day’s menu.
