SUMMARY:New Year's Day Hike at White Pines
DESCRIPTION:Join Triangle Land Conservancy for a New Year’s Day Hike on Thu\, Jan 1\, 9am-11:30am at White Pines Nature Preserve. Join TLC Trail Guides Steve G. and Pam M. on this relaxed\, social hike to get outside and start the year right! White Pines Nature Preserve contains species not typically found in the North Carolina Piedmont\, but they remain here from the last ice age because the surrounding rivers create a microclimate. \nThere will be multiple stops along the way to learn about the preserve’s ecology and history. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and warm layers. and bring a full water bottle along. This is a free event\, but registration is required. If registration is closed\, please email Amaya Horner at ahorner@triangleland.org to be added to the waitlist. \nCURRENT MASK POLICY \nTLC seeks to build a supportive\, mask-friendly environment in all collaborations with staff and the public. Please wear a mask if you are not vaccinated or if it makes you feel more comfortable. They also encourage eligible individuals to receive their COVID-19 vaccine and booster. If you are experiencing any COVID-19-related symptoms\, please stay home and attend the program on another day. Their top priority is to create a safe environment for their community.
