DESCRIPTION:Join The Plant and Fair Game Beverage Company in Pittsboro’s new listening room for Wheelhouse Music Sessions: Brenda Linton + The Sparklers on Sat\, Jun 27 7:30pm-9:30pm. Musician and writer Brenda Linton performs her unique blend of song and spoken word\, joined by The Sparklers and special guest Scotty Young. If you missed the last show\, you want to secure your seat for this one! She’ll also be joined by: \n\nKim Caraganis: Guitar and Vocals.\nElizabeth Haddix: Double Bass and Vocals.\nDave Smith: Lead guitar.\n\nLinton is a versatile artist well known to audiences at The Plant. In 2021\, she organized the UnityFest Concert\, featuring local musicians and music students\, to help bring the community together in the aftermath of COVID-19. In 2022 and 2023\, at events supporting the missions of the Chatham County Arts Council and the Ukrainian Association of North Carolina\, Linton combined readings from her memoir with newly composed music to create an enhanced listening experience. More recently\, she participated in a Poetry @ The Plant event on women’s empowerment\, co-sponsored by the Women’s Advocacy Initiative. Sparkle Plenty is also available for streaming on Spotify\, Amazon Music\, and Apple Music. \nCome early to sip and shop the Chatham Beverage District\, part of the Chatham County Craft Beverages & Country Inns Trail\, with local beers from bmc brewing\, wines and ciders from Starrlight\, spirits from Fair Game\, and sake from Koshu. Local dining available at Kingston 99 Kitchen and Ta Contento. \nGet your tickets before they sell out! The admission cost is $25 per person. Free parking is available onsite. The event takes place indoors in the Fair Game Wheelhouse. Leashed\, well-behaved pets are allowed outside; indoor pet policies vary by business.
