The novel has received the Sir Walter Raleigh Award\, North Carolina’s highest fiction honor. Indigo Field was also a finalist for the Crooks Corner Prize for Southern Fiction and was selected as a great group read by the Women’s National Book Association.  \nABOUT THE AUTHOR \nMarjorie Hudson was born in a small town in Illinois and raised in Washington\, D.C.\, where she graduated from American University with a degree in Journalism and Women’s Studies. After serving as features editor of National Parks Magazine\, she moved to rural North Carolina\, working as a freelance writer. She holds an MFA from Warren Wilson College and lives with her husband\, Sam\, and feisty small terrier DJ\, on a century farm in North Carolina.

A veteran stand-up comedian of 16 years\, Rob has performed in numerous festivals in NYC\, including the prestigious New York Comedy Festival. His talent and dedication to his craft were recognized when he won Best of the Fest at the 2022 Hartford Fringe Festival for his one-man show “Millennial Spigger”. Rob lives with ADHD\, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)\, and a mood disorder\, and he has channeled these experiences into creating meaningful work such as Beige. Drawing from his experiences and struggles\, Rob brings a raw and authentic perspective to the series. His unique voice and heartfelt storytelling capture the nuances of mental health and the journey toward healing and redemption. As a stand-up comedian\, Rob’s unfiltered humor and genuine vulnerability make him a relatable and inspiring figure for audiences everywhere.

Bring reusable tote bags and plan to explore the many local vendors. You also might chat with the farmers\, see old friends\, or meet new ones! It’s a welcoming\, inclusive\, and friendly atmosphere that encourages healthy\, happy living. \nFearrington Farmers Market has more than 3 dozen members and is now in its 30th season. Not all vendors are there every week\, but some vendors are there every week\, year-round. Each market features live music. Vendors include Celebrity Dairy\, In Good Heart Farm\, and bmc brewing. See their full list of vendors. \nCome early if you’d like to review what is being offered; sales begin at the scheduled time\, signaled by the bell. Bring along small bills ($20 or lower) to pay for your purchase. Some vendors accept credit and debit cards\, and most will accept checks. This event takes place outdoors\, rain or shine.
