DESCRIPTION:Join Jordan Lake Farms for Wreath-Making Workshops\, hosted on select dates in November and December. Their skilled farmers will guide you in crafting an exquisite Christmas wreath while you learn the artistry of transforming greenery into stunning festive decor. The wreath workshop includes beautiful greenery\, a bow\, a wreath ring\, and wire to finish a wreath that is 18-26 inches in diameter – perfect for most commonly-sized doors. Bring a pair of garden clippers and plastic or cardboard to lay your finished wreath on\, as sometimes sap can drain from fresh-cut greenery. Workshops take place on the following dates: \n\nSat\, Nov 22\, 2:30pm-5pm.\nWed\, Nov 26\, 10:30am-1pm.\nWed\, Dec 3\, 9:30am-12pm.\nThu\, Dec 4\, 2:30pm-5pm.\nThu\, Dec 11\, 9:30am-12pm.\nSat\, Dec 13\, 2:30pm-5pm.\nSun\, Dec 14\, 2:30pm-5pm.\n\nThis workshop is suitable for ages 13 years and older. Attendees aged 13-15 must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the workshop. Workshops will be 2-3 hours long. The number of workshop attendees will be between 5 and 15\, depending on the project.  If fewer than 5 attendees are registered 48 hours before the workshop\, the workshop will be cancelled. \nRegistration is required for this event. You will be asked to pay in full to reserve your spot for the workshop. Workshops are rain or shine and non-refundable. This event takes place in Jordan Lake Farm’s new “Hide-Away Pavilion”. The wreath workshop includes beautiful greenery\, a bow\, a wreath ring\, and wire to finish a wreath that is 18-26 inches in diameter – perfect for most commonly-sized doors. Bring a pair of garden clippers and plastic or cardboard to lay your finished wreath on\, as sometimes sap can drain from fresh-cut greenery. Workshops take place on the following dates: \n\nSat\, Nov 22\, 2:30pm-5pm.\nWed\, Nov 26\, 10:30am-1pm.\nWed\, Dec 3\, 9:30am-12pm.\nThu\, Dec 4\, 2:30pm-5pm.\nThu\, Dec 11\, 9:30am-12pm.\nSat\, Dec 13\, 2:30pm-5pm.\nSun\, Dec 14\, 2:30pm-5pm.\n\nThis workshop is suitable for ages 13 years and older. The number of workshop attendees will be between 5 and 15\, depending on the project.  If fewer than 5 attendees are registered 48 hours before the workshop\, the workshop will be cancelled. \nRegistration is required for this event. Studios are scattered throughout Chatham County\, including Pittsboro\, Fearrington Village\, Bynum\, Chapel Hill (Chatham County)\, Sanford (Chatham County)\, and Apex (Chatham County). In addition to the private studios\, tour exhibits are on display at Chatham Mills (student art) and Smelt Art Gallery at The Plant. \nWhat can I do while I’m in Chatham County? Is there somewhere to eat? To stay?\nAlong the way\, you’ll discover delicious food and drink\, eclectic shops\, and charming accommodations. Pair local food and art with a seasonal meal from one of our numerous farm-to-fork eateries. Restaurants along the tour route include Kingston 99 Kitchen and JDub’s PoBoys at The Plant\, as well as Chatham Marketplace and The Sycamore at Chatham Mills. DESCRIPTION:Join Chatham Partnership for Children at Central Carolina Community College for their annual Reindeer Run 5K on Sat\, Dec 13\, 8am-11am. Their USATF-certified course will start at CCCC and head towards downtown Pittsboro\, then loop back for a finish at the campus. The 5K will start at 8am for all runners\, with Race Day registration concluding at 7:45am. Please arrive early to pick up your race bib and find a parking spot. \nAwards will be given for the following categories: \n\nIndividual overall.\nIndividual age groups.\nTeams.\n\nRace Day registration for the Reindeer Run 5K is limited to individual runners and Fun Run participants. Shirts will most likely not be available for these registrants. \nGet ready for big smiles and little feet flying—Rudolph’s Fun Run is back! This joyful mini-race is perfect for our youngest runners\, taking place entirely on the CCCC campus with an easy\, fun ¾-mile course. The race kicks off at 9:10am\, and every child who crosses the finish line will be greeted by Rudolph and friends with a medal. When you register\, you’ll also have the option to order a race t-shirt. There is no need to attend packet pickup events for this one\, unless you want to receive the t-shirt before the race; all other Fun Run items will be handed out on race day. Before the concert\, they’ll be holding a community chili cookoff and potluck supper. Everyone is welcome at the table—no need to bring anything (though extra dishes are always appreciated\, and vegetarian options are always part of the spread). It’s the kind of meal where you pass bowls and swap stories\, where neighbors turn into family. \nAfter supper\, the music begins at 7pm. New Direction will fill the old store with bluegrass harmonies\, Christmas songs\, and the kind of joy that makes you feel rooted and lifted all at once.
