All alcohol is available for purchase through West End Kitchen via the Pittsboro Downtown Social District. No outside alcohol allowed at this location. DESCRIPTION:Carolina Tiger Rescue’s popular Twilight Tours run from March through October (Daylight Saving Time) on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings. Tours are for adults only (guests ages 18 years and older). Twilight tours are a more intimate experience to meet CTR’s animals. During these tours\, guests are the only visitors in the sanctuary. The day’s work is done\, and the guests have the sanctuary all to themselves. Enjoy a quiet evening with the cats\, and you might just be lucky enough to be serenaded by the lions!  After all\, they are still wild animals!  As with all their tours\, they cannot guarantee what the cats will do\, but it’s hard to have a bad evening with the animals. \nThe 2026 schedule will begin on Sun\, Mar 8\, and run through Sat\, Oct 31. The timeframe provided in this event listing is an estimate – please check your tickets for the exact time slot. Your Twilight Tour will last for about 1 ½ hours. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Trained volunteer tour guides will walk you through the animal sanctuary. You will learn about the various species living at Carolina Tiger Rescue and the challenges they face in the wild\, as well as the difficulties they encounter in captivity. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and take photos\, but please note that there will be no physical contact with the animals. \nAdvance tickets are required for attendees (no walk-ins available). Tours are offered from April to October on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings\, rain or shine. The cost is $32 per person\, and a maximum of 25 people may attend each tour. DESCRIPTION:Forest Tinkering Camp at Sun Star Farm is a small group of 12 campers led by 2 counselors. Forest Tinkering Camp is very different from Tinkering School’s format.  Campers spend most of the day in the forest based in the camp’s new shelter\, learning and developing a variety of outdoor skills: flint-knapping to make arrowheads\, chopping wood for daily campfires used for cooking\, gathering native plants\, making fishing nets\, building a water filtration system\, whittling sticks into tools\, improving in archery\, and telling stories of yesteryear. DESCRIPTION:Tinkering School NC at Sun Star Farm is a small group of 12 campers led by 2 counselors and a 3rd counselor during peak building times. DESCRIPTION:New Beginnings Farm offers Summer Camps specializing in teaching basic balanced positions and horsemanship\, and in providing fun outdoor activities. This camp is perfect for horse lovers of all ages and levels who want a hands-on experience with horses. They have beginner school horses perfect for the most beginner and timid of riders\, as well as intermediate/advanced horses who can school higher-level dressage movements and jump 3’3 courses. New Beginnings Farm is all about meeting individuals’ wants and needs\, so they can facilitate both English and Western riding. Riding sessions will include trail rides\, riding with cows\, mounted games\, jumping\, dressage\, lunge lessons\, and bareback riding\, depending on the camper’s riding level and desires.  \nWhen not riding\, campers will learn all about horse care and participate in horse-related arts and crafts. The day is finished off with a self-packed lunch and supervised swimming. Campers with their own horse are welcome to keep their horse at New Beginnings Farm for the duration of the camp at no additional charge. They keep their camp numbers low to provide a more personal and safe environment\, so be sure to let them know if you are interested in attending so they can reserve your spot!
