SUMMARY:Summer Camp at New Beginnings Farm
DESCRIPTION:New Beginnings Farm offers Summer Camps specializing in teaching basic balanced positions and horsemanship\, and in providing fun outdoor activities. This camp is perfect for horse lovers of all ages and levels who want a hands-on experience with horses. They have beginner school horses perfect for the most beginner and timid of riders\, as well as intermediate/advanced horses who can school higher-level dressage movements and jump 3’3 courses. New Beginnings Farm is all about meeting individuals’ wants and needs\, so they can facilitate both English and Western riding. Riding sessions will include trail rides\, riding with cows\, mounted games\, jumping\, dressage\, lunge lessons\, and bareback riding\, depending on the camper’s riding level and desires.  \nWhen not riding\, campers will learn all about horse care and participate in horse-related arts and crafts. The day is finished off with a self-packed lunch and supervised swimming. Campers with their own horse are welcome to keep their horse at New Beginnings Farm for the duration of the camp at no additional charge. They keep their camp numbers low to provide a more personal and safe environment\, so be sure to let them know if you are interested in attending so they can reserve your spot! Riders of all levels are welcome to their camp! They can introduce campers to horses for the first time or continue the education of more experienced riders.  \nWhat do campers need to participate? \nCampers will need to wear long pants for riding and closed-toe shoes for being in the barn. Helmets are required while riding\, but New Beginnings Farm has a selection of helmets available for borrowing for the duration of the camp. DESCRIPTION:The Toys and Games Camp at Clapping Hands Farm hosted Mon\, Jun 29-Fri\, Jul 3\, 9am-5pm is a joyous week of romping and running\, creative cooperative games\, and just pure playful fun\, including some traditional favorite games (yes – capture the flag!). Your children will spend the week entertaining themselves and one another using simple materials and raw imagination. This year’s featured toy-making projects have not yet been selected\, but previous years have included everything from traditional folk toys to hydraulic robots. \nIn the afternoon\, they have “Anything Goes” choice time\, where campers help design and can request or lead any of their favorite activities. This will include some of their favorite toy-making projects from years past: parachutes\, stomp rockets\, hula hoops\, puppets\, and puppet theaters are all on the list. For those who enjoy running around more\, there will be plenty of running game options in the afternoon as well! \nThe cost is $350 per child. Ages 7-13 are welcome. SUMMARY:Forest Tinkering Camp
DESCRIPTION:Forest Tinkering Camp at Sun Star Farm is a small group of 12 campers led by 2 counselors. Forest Tinkering Camp is very different from Tinkering School’s format.  Campers spend most of the day in the forest based in the camp’s new shelter\, learning and developing a variety of outdoor skills: flint-knapping to make arrowheads\, chopping wood for daily campfires used for cooking\, gathering native plants\, making fishing nets\, building a water filtration system\, whittling sticks into tools\, improving in archery\, and telling stories of yesteryear. As for projects\, they will be mostly individual.  Campers will need a certain level of maturity and be able to follow instructions to work and play safely in this environment. \nThey save 4 spots for girls during the registration period\, so they end up with a nice ratio of boys to girls.  If any of the “girl” spots are not taken by March 1st\, they open them to boys on the waitlist. DESCRIPTION:The Toys and Games Camp at Clapping Hands Farm hosted Mon\, Jun 29-Fri\, Jul 3\, 9am-5pm is a joyous week of romping and running\, creative cooperative games\, and just pure playful fun\, including some traditional favorite games (yes – capture the flag!). Your children will spend the week entertaining themselves and one another using simple materials and raw imagination. This year’s featured toy-making projects have not yet been selected\, but previous years have included everything from traditional folk toys to hydraulic robots. \nIn the afternoon\, they have “Anything Goes” choice time\, where campers help design and can request or lead any of their favorite activities. This will include some of their favorite toy-making projects from years past: parachutes\, stomp rockets\, hula hoops\, puppets\, and puppet theaters are all on the list. For those who enjoy running around more\, there will be plenty of running game options in the afternoon as well! \nThe cost is $350 per child. Ages 7-13 are welcome. Watch the animals play with and destroy holiday-themed enrichment\, then indulge in some edible holiday enrichment of your own! \nThe upcoming schedule for Holiday Enrichment Tours is below: \n\nSat\, Jun 20\, 2pm-4pm – Father’s Day Weekend.\nSun\, Jun 21\, 2pm-4pm – Father’s Day Weekend.\nFri\, Jul 3\, 2pm-4pm – Fourth of July Weekend.\nSat\, Jul 4\, 2pm-4pm – Fourth of July Weekend.\n\nAdvance tickets are required for all attendees (no walk-ins). Tours last around 1.5-2 hours and are offered on select holiday weekends throughout the year\, rain or shine. The cost is $32 for individuals aged 13 and above\, and $26 for those aged 0-12\, with a maximum of 25 people allowed per tour.
