SUMMARY:Twilight Tours at Carolina Tiger Rescue
DESCRIPTION:Carolina Tiger Rescue’s popular Twilight Tours run from March through October (Daylight Saving Time) on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings. Tours are for adults only (guests ages 18 years and older). Twilight tours are a more intimate experience to meet CTR’s animals. During these tours\, guests are the only visitors in the sanctuary. The day’s work is done\, and the guests have the sanctuary all to themselves. Enjoy a quiet evening with the cats\, and you might just be lucky enough to be serenaded by the lions!  After all\, they are still wild animals!  As with all their tours\, they cannot guarantee what the cats will do\, but it’s hard to have a bad evening with the animals. \nThe 2026 schedule will begin on Sun\, Mar 8\, and run through Sat\, Oct 31. The timeframe provided in this event listing is an estimate – please check your tickets for the exact time slot. Your Twilight Tour will last for about 1 ½ hours. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Trained volunteer tour guides will walk you through the animal sanctuary. You will learn about the various species living at Carolina Tiger Rescue and the challenges they face in the wild\, as well as the difficulties they encounter in captivity. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and take photos\, but please note that there will be no physical contact with the animals. \nAdvance tickets are required for attendees (no walk-ins available). Tours are offered from April to October on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings\, rain or shine. The cost is $32 per person\, and a maximum of 25 people may attend each tour. Please review the information below before purchasing your tickets: \n\nAll tours go out rain or shine. Golf carts are available to assist guests as needed. If you have accessibility concerns\, please call 919.542.4648 to make arrangements before your visit.\nGPS may not provide accurate directions to CTR’s location. In 2022 and 2023\, at events supporting the missions of the Chatham County Arts Council and the Ukrainian Association of North Carolina\, Linton combined readings from her memoir with newly composed music to create an enhanced listening experience. SUMMARY:Bridgerton Edition - Modern Calligraphy for Beginners
DESCRIPTION:Dear Gentle Writers\, join Starrlight Mead for Bridgerton Edition – Modern Calligraphy for Beginners on Sun\, Jun 28\, 3pm-4:30pm. Whether you’re a stationery nerd\, DIY Bride-to-be\, or just a crafty individual\, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. This workshop will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail\, wedding paper goods\, home decor\, and more! The perfect crafty afternoon out while discussing the latest gossip from Lady Whistledown! Wear your florals\, maxi dresses\, or anything on theme. \nClass includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration\, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs\, a black ink pot\, 2 letter guides\, tracing paper\, and a straight pen holder)\, and all materials for writing. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop! Tickets are $73 per person\, and pre-registration is required. Registration includes all materials and one drink. Adults 21 and older only\, please. This event takes place indoors. Starrlight Mead is part of The Plant. SUMMARY:Twilight Tours at Carolina Tiger Rescue
DESCRIPTION:Carolina Tiger Rescue’s popular Twilight Tours run from March through October (Daylight Saving Time) on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings. Tours are for adults only (guests ages 18 years and older). Twilight tours are a more intimate experience to meet CTR’s animals. During these tours\, guests are the only visitors in the sanctuary. The day’s work is done\, and the guests have the sanctuary all to themselves. Enjoy a quiet evening with the cats\, and you might just be lucky enough to be serenaded by the lions!  After all\, they are still wild animals!  As with all their tours\, they cannot guarantee what the cats will do\, but it’s hard to have a bad evening with the animals. \nThe 2026 schedule will begin on Sun\, Mar 8\, and run through Sat\, Oct 31. The timeframe provided in this event listing is an estimate – please check your tickets for the exact time slot. Your Twilight Tour will last for about 1 ½ hours. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Trained volunteer tour guides will walk you through the animal sanctuary. You will learn about the various species living at Carolina Tiger Rescue and the challenges they face in the wild\, as well as the difficulties they encounter in captivity. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and take photos\, but please note that there will be no physical contact with the animals. \nAdvance tickets are required for attendees (no walk-ins available). Tours are offered from April to October on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings\, rain or shine. The cost is $32 per person\, and a maximum of 25 people may attend each tour. Please review the information below before purchasing your tickets: \n\nAll tours go out rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather\, Carolina Tiger Rescue will contact guests to inform them whether a cancellation is necessary.\nPhotos may be taken during your tour after you’ve signed your visitor release.\nThe Education Center is wheelchair-accessible; however\, the gravel and grass paths may be more challenging to navigate for individuals with mobility impairments. Golf carts are available to assist guests as needed. If you have accessibility concerns\, please call 919.542.4648 to make arrangements before your visit.\nGPS may not provide accurate directions to CTR’s location. They recommend using the directions from their website to ensure a successful arrival.\nCTR does not allow outside animals anywhere on the property. Please leave your pets at home.

DESCRIPTION:Join Sun Star Farm for Summer Sprout Camps\, hosted during select weeks in June\, July\, and August 2026. Step back in time\, slow the pace of hurried modern lifestyles\, and let your children unplug and unwind in an environment that nurtures curiosity and a love of nature. Camps heavily focus on play\, allowing children space and time to live fully in it.  \nAll weeks include a ton of one-on-one time with farm animals\, gardening\, crafting\, hiking\, creek adventures\, songs\, games\, and more! Campers usually make unusual crafts using natural materials and techniques that follow the weekly themes. The farm camp is split into four age groups to offer age-appropriate activities\, stories\, creative projects\, and learning opportunities (see Sun Star Farm Camp for kids ages 4-12). Each group has its own indoor and outdoor spaces\, allowing flexibility and ease in adapting to the day’s rhythm to suit the children’s needs.
