DESCRIPTION:Join Cool Creek Farm for Summer Camps\, hosted during select weeks in June\, July\, and August 2026. Camp days follow an easy flow that starts with a morning circle and conversation\, and reading aloud of quality children’s literature. SUMMARY:Farm Days Camp: Summer 2026
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to a week of outdoor fun\, friendly animals\, and hands-on learning with this Farm Days Camp: Summer 2026\, held Mon\, Aug 10-Fri\, Aug 14\, 8:45am-3pm at The Inn at Celebrity Dairy! Circle City Supper Club’s Summer Farm Camp invites young farmers ages 7+ to roll up their sleeves and discover the joys of farm life on our working dairy farm. \nEach morning begins with chores alongside playful goats\, curious chickens\, and furry pigs. Campers might take turns feeding goats\, gathering fresh eggs\, brushing pigs\, or cleaning pens—all while learning how to care for animals responsibly and kindly. After chores\, the adventure continues with nature goat hikes\, pond-side fishing\, and scavenger hunts that spark curiosity about local plants and wildlife. Creative afternoons bring arts and crafts inspired by farm life—such as painting goat portraits\, making leaf prints\, or building bird feeders from recycled materials. Campers also help prepare simple morning and afternoon snacks—think fresh fruit kabobs\, veggie wraps\, or homemade butter or goat cheese on crackers. By the end of the week\, each child will have new skills\, cherished memories\, and a strong sense of connection to animals\, nature\, and one another. \nThis is not a cooking camp\, unlike their past farm camps. They will provide morning and afternoon snacks. Please send your child with a healthy lunch. Check out their June camp if you’re looking for an outdoor cooking camp. \nDAILY SCHEDULE \n\nStart the morning in the barn with farm chores.\nFeed and play with the farm animals.\nPrepare and enjoy a morning snack.\nEnrichment time\, including hikes\, nature walks with the goats\, trivia\, water play\, fishing\, reading time\, and arts & crafts.\nLunch (please send your child with a healthy lunch).\nDaily guest farmer or activity leader.\nPrepare and enjoy an afternoon snack.\nClean up.\n\nThe price for campers is $395 per week\, with a $25 discount per sibling. This includes all meals and snacks\, so there is no need to pack one. Camp tuition is non-refundable but is transferable. See more camps. See more events at Celebrity Dairy. \nPlease note: Due to the nature of the shared spaces\, Circle City Supper Club is NOT nut-free and cannot accommodate any food allergies at this time.

SUMMARY:Crokinole at Fair Game
DESCRIPTION:Try your hand at an obscure Canadian board game with Crokinole at Fair Game Beverage Company\, hosted every third Wednesday\, 6pm-8pm in the Wheelhouse. Crokinole is a classic Canadian tabletop game — think shuffleboard meets curling\, shrunk onto a round wooden board. It’s easy to learn in a single round and genuinely fun whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned shooter\, and newcomers are always welcome. \nHere’s how it works: Two players (or four\, in teams) sit across from each other and take turns flicking small wooden discs from the outer edge toward the center of the board. The bullseye is a recessed hole in the middle worth 20 points; concentric scoring rings count for less the farther out you land. Guarding the center is a ring of eight small pegs that your disc has to navigate around. \nIf your opponent has any discs on the board\, your shot has to hit one of them. Miss\, and your disc is removed. If the board is clear\, you have to land inside the innermost peg ring\, or your disc comes off. So every turn is a choice between attacking your opponent’s pieces and quietly racking up points of your own. Discs are scored once all of them have been played\, and the higher total wins the round. \nCome early to sip and shop the Chatham Beverage District\, part of the Chatham County Craft Beverages & Country Inns Trail\, with local beers from bmc brewing\, wines and ciders from Starrlight\, spirits from Fair Game\, and sake from Koshu. Local dining available at Kingston 99 Kitchen and Ta Contento. \nFree parking is available on-site. This free event takes place indoors in the Fair Game Wheelhouse. SUMMARY:Mental Health Matters
DESCRIPTION:Join 79° West for Mental Health Matters\, a monthly community conversation designed to bring practical\, evidence-informed mental health education to Pittsboro and the surrounding area. In this June session on Fri\, Jun 26\, 8am-9:15am\, you’ll explore how the need for control develops as an attempt to feel safe — and how flexibility can reduce stress and anxiety. \n\n\nWhy is it so hard to let things go? Why do uncertainty\, unpredictability\, and feeling “out of control” create so much stress? In this Mental Health Matters talk\, therapist Danny Eller\, LCSW\, explores the hidden anxiety beneath control\, perfectionism\, overthinking\, and rigidity. Participants will learn how the mind uses control to manage fear and uncertainty\, and why those strategies often leave individuals feeling more exhausted\, frustrated\, and disconnected. This practical and accessible conversation will help attendees better understand stress\, anxiety\, emotional rigidity\, and the challenge of letting go\, while offering healthier ways to respond to uncertainty in everyday life. \n\n\nThis FREE indoor event is open to coworking members and the public. Information regarding accessibility\, amenities\, and more can be found on their location page. Free parking is available onsite\, including EV charging stations. See all events 79° West. SUMMARY:Old-Fashioned Farmers' Days
DESCRIPTION:Visit the past and marvel at how things were done at the 51st Annual Old-Fashioned Farmers’ Days on Sat\, Sep 5-Sun\, Sep 6\, 9am-6pm at Silk Hope Farm Heritage Park\, the longest-running event in Chatham County.  Every Labor Day weekend\, the fields at Silk Hope Farm Heritage Park come alive with the chug of steam engines and the smell of barbecue. Hosted by the Silk Hope Ruritan Club since 1975\, this two-day celebration of the area’s agricultural roots has grown from a small gathering into a beloved tradition that draws thousands of visitors from across the region. \nAcross the grounds\, you’ll find a sprawling display of antique tractors and farm equipment\, plus living demonstrations of how rural work once got done: a working sawmill powered by steam\, a cotton gin\, tobacco equipment\, and the hiss and smoke of restored steam engines running just as they did a century ago. One of those engines powers the event’s most famous treat—”steam cream\,” handmade ice cream churned on-site that’s worth the trip on its own. \nThe show barn anchors the entertainment\, with clogging performances\, live music\, and a junior dairy show\, while antique tractor pulls\, craft demonstrations\, draft horses\, and farm animals fill out the day. Families will find plenty to keep younger visitors busy\, from a kids’ discovery area to pony rides and a mini-train. And the food is unapologetically Southern: barbecue\, pinto beans\, and more. \nAdmission is $5 per person and free for children ages 6 and under – great for families! Leashed\, well-behaved pets are allowed. See more Silk Hope Farm Heritage Park events. \nPARKING & DIRECTIONS \nParking at Old-Fashioned Farmers’ Days is free and available at the community house\, with overflow into nearby fields. The festival is located one hour west of Raleigh\, NC\, off US 64\, one hour southeast of Greensboro via US 421 and US 64\, 45 minutes south of Burlington\, NC\, via NC 87 and Lindley Mill/Silk Hope-Lindley Mill Rd\, and six miles northeast of Siler City\, Chatham County\, NC.
