SUMMARY:Healing Salve Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Patricia and guests at In Good Heart Farm for their Healing Salve Workshop on Sat\, Jun 3\, 9am-1pm. Learn how to make your very own healing salve and get two tins to take home (a $30 value) – one for you and one to share. \nYou’ll begin the morning by taking a little farm tour and harvesting calendula\, comfrey\, and plantain. Together\, you’ll process the salve-making materials (the calendula\, comfrey\, and plantain – beeswax from King Cobra Apiary and organic olive oil). As your salve simmers\, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch together. Patricia will provide a seasonal salad with herbed vinaigrette\, but you may want to pack a sandwich or a snack to round out your brunch/lunch. \nOnce you finish pouring your salve\, and as you let it cool\, you will close out the healing salve-making workshop with another kind of healing salve – captivating stories and original music woven together by Louise Omoto Kessel\, Sarah Lyona Perry\, and Khallori Cosmey. \nParticipants will leave the workshop with informational handouts so they may make their own healing salve at home\, their own tin of salve\, and\, hopefully\, a renewed sense of wonder and reverence for our capacity to heal ourselves and our community. \nWeather note: This event is rain or shine. If it does rain on the day of the workshop\, make sure to dress accordingly for harvest. The rest of the workshop will take place under cover outside.
