The event includes food trucks\, an assortment of entertainment on the main stage\, a train ride\, a bouncy house\, and a vendor market. \nSun\, Dec 10\, 3pm-6pm Downtown Pittsboro Christmas Parade\nHoliday traditions return to Pittsboro! DESCRIPTION:Join Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge for food\, drinks\, and an outdoor film screening of a new and award-wining documentary\, “The Smell of Money” on Sat\, Oct 15 from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with residents directly impacted by CAFOs in Duplin County\, NC. \n\nThis will be an outdoor screening at the Refuge Pavilion with vegan vendors. Seating will be provided\, but please feel free to bring your own chair or blanket! Tickets are $15 per person and all proceeds benefit the animals. \nAbout the film: “The smell of money”—that’s what Big Pork calls the stench of pig waste in the air in eastern North Carolina\, where much of the world’s bacon and barbecue is made. But to Elsie Herring and others who live near the state’s giant pig factories\, the revolting odor is a call to battle against generations of injustice.
