Find designated quiet areas set up the entire season. The family’s mission is to bring all kids back to the outdoors with the goal of making many of the farm activities wheelchair-accessible and autism-friendly. \nHuckleberry Trail Farm celebrated 10 years in 2021. Explore the corn maze\, pumpkins\, and fall decorations\, and purchase refreshments. Take a ride on a tractor-drawn hayride (for transportation down to the pumpkin patch). Merchandise is available on-site for purchase\, too. Guests to the farm will find a pumpkin patch (cut your own pumpkin right off the vine)\, a cotton patch\, and a mini Field of Dreams. \nHours\, Directions\, & Pricing \nSaturdays\, 10am-6pm and Sundays\, 1pm-6pm. \nThe last ticket is sold one hour before closing. The last hayride is 30 minutes before closing. Find admission and ticket information here. \nHuckleberry Trail Farm is conveniently located on Hwy 64 right between Pittsboro and Siler City\, just 30 minutes from Cary\, Apex\, Chapel Hill\, Durham\, and Greensboro.  It’s an easy drive over a shining lake and rushing river\, through the beautiful rolling country\, and past farmland complete with horses\, cows\, and red barns.

Heralded by Americana UK for their “absorbing and beautiful songcraft\,” The Lone Canary has had the privilege of sharing the stage with notable acts including Three Dog Night\, Over the Rhine\, Pieta Brown\, Lilly Hiatt\, South for Winter\, Zach Pietrini\, and Haunted Like Human. \nThere is no cover for music\, but tips for the musicians are encouraged. Most events are rain or shine; if they have to cancel\, they will do so as far in advance as possible. The Plant is accessible to guests and will do its best to accommodate any additional requests. Explore the corn maze\, pumpkins\, and fall decorations\, and purchase refreshments. Take a ride on a tractor-drawn hayride (for transportation down to the pumpkin patch). Merchandise is available on-site for purchase\, too. Guests to the farm will find a pumpkin patch (cut your own pumpkin right off the vine)\, a cotton patch\, and a mini Field of Dreams. \nHours\, Directions\, & Pricing \nSaturdays\, 10am-6pm and Sundays\, 1pm-6pm. \nThe last ticket is sold one hour before closing. The last hayride is 30 minutes before closing. Find admission and ticket information here. \nHuckleberry Trail Farm is conveniently located on Hwy 64 right between Pittsboro and Siler City\, just 30 minutes from Cary\, Apex\, Chapel Hill\, Durham\, and Greensboro.  It’s an easy drive over a shining lake and rushing river\, through the beautiful rolling country\, and past farmland complete with horses\, cows\, and red barns.

Trips take off from the Farrington Point Boat Ramp. \nKNOW BEFORE YOU GO \n\nAll guests will be provided with a kayak\, a personal flotation device (life vest)\, and a paddle. The recommended packing list can be found here. Guests will need to provide their own lunches. \nAdvanced online registration is required. Trips may be cancelled if the minimum group size of 4 is not met. Please note that environmental factors may impact the planned curriculum for the day. Gratuity for guides/instructors is always appreciated. \nEstimating the time spent on water for river trips can be a challenging task. Numerous variables can affect the duration of a trip. A few considerations for this are water level and flow\, group experience\, managing a capsized canoe or kayak\, and other relevant factors. Guests may be asked to assist with the shuttle. Shorter distance trips can take 3–5 hours\, longer distance trips can take 4–7 hours.\nParticipants during winter months must wear cold-weather paddling gear appropriate for the air and water temperatures. Frog Hollow may be able to provide cold-weather paddle clothing to those who request it.

DESCRIPTION:At Monster-Making with Recyclables\, your child will learn about art and sustainability with Anayancy Estacio\, Education Program Coordinator for Chatham County Solid Waste and Recycling. Your child will build a monster using recycled materials and express their creativity through assembling\, gluing\, and painting eco-friendly monster companions. Supplies are included. Instructed by Leigh Babcock. This one-class session takes place Fri\, Sep 26\, 6pm-7:30pm. Registration opens Mon\, Aug 18\, and closes Mon\, Sep 22. \nThis event is held indoors at the new Chatham County Parks\, Recreation\, and Cultural Resources (CCPRCR) Arts Center\, located at 964 East Street\, Suite 105\, Pittsboro\, NC 23712\, on the backside of the building. To access the studio\, drive straight through the open gate and look for the sign that reads “Arts Center”.
