Where awareness goes\, energy flows—this process empowers you to shift your state of consciousness to nurture your own personal growth and healing. \nInspired by the elements\, Elemental Rhythm Breathwork incorporates different breathing techniques\, followed by a meditation and reflection period to integrate the experiences from the breathwork session. The journey concludes with a sharing circle\, offering space for connection and expression. If you have had or currently have any of the following conditions\, permission to participate in breathwork from your healthcare provider is required:  \n\nEpilepsy.\nHigh blood pressure is not controlled by medicine. \nCardiovascular disease. \nHeart attack. \nStroke. \nGlaucoma/detached retina. \nOsteoporosis. \nAneurysm. \nBi-polar. \nSchizophrenia. \nAny other significant health challenges.  If you are pregnant\, you can not participate in breathwork. If you have asthma\, you must have your inhaler next to you.\n\nPOSSIBLE CONTRAINDICATIONS \nPost-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD): Although many people find great healing through breathwork with regards to PTSD\, clearance from your healthcare professional is required before the breathwork activity if you have a severe case or are currently under a therapist’s care. Y12SR is an innovative addiction relapse prevention program that combines the wisdom of yoga with the practical tools of 12-Step recovery programs. Guided by its theme “The Issues Live In the Tissues\,” Y12SR meetings are held across the U.S. and internationally\, rapidly becoming a recognized component of addiction recovery treatment centers. \nEach meeting consists of both a 12-Step-inspired sharing circle and a guided yoga practice\, incorporating movement (asana)\, breathwork (pranayama)\, and meditation—an approach described as “taking it to the mats.” The yoga practice is designed to be accessible to individuals of all body types and experience levels. Open to those struggling with addiction as well as their loved ones\, Y12SR serves as a complement rather than a substitute for traditional addiction recovery programs. Committed to the principles of safety and anonymity\, Y12SR provides a supportive space for healing and connection. \nHandicapped parking and a ramp are available in the back of the Yoga Garden studio. By accessing this more profound state\, you can release old thought patterns\, stagnant emotions\, and energy that no longer serves you. Where awareness goes\, energy flows—this process empowers you to shift your state of consciousness to nurture your own personal growth and healing. \nInspired by the elements\, Elemental Rhythm Breathwork incorporates different breathing techniques\, followed by a meditation and reflection period to integrate the experiences from the breathwork session. The journey concludes with a sharing circle\, offering space for connection and expression. If you have had or currently have any of the following conditions\, permission to participate in breathwork from your healthcare provider is required:  \n\nEpilepsy.\nHigh blood pressure is not controlled by medicine. \nCardiovascular disease. \nHeart attack. \nStroke. \nGlaucoma/detached retina. \nOsteoporosis. \nAneurysm. \nBi-polar. \nSchizophrenia. \nAny other significant health challenges.  If you are pregnant\, you can not participate in breathwork. If you have asthma\, you must have your inhaler next to you.\n\nPOSSIBLE CONTRAINDICATIONS \nPost-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD): Although many people find great healing through breathwork with regards to PTSD\, clearance from your healthcare professional is required before the breathwork activity if you have a severe case or are currently under a therapist’s care. It’s okay to talk about the challenges of expressing emotions after a lifetime of being told not to. They want you to feel comfortable bringing your whole self to their meetings. \nPre-registration online is encouraged\, and sliding-scale donations are requested. A suggested admission of $20 per person is recommended for this event. DESCRIPTION:Join Yoga Garden PBO for Y12SR Meetings with Jaime Warkonyi hosted on the first Sunday of every month\, 4pm-6pm. Y12SR is an innovative addiction relapse prevention program that combines the wisdom of yoga with the practical tools of 12-Step recovery programs. Guided by its theme “The Issues Live In the Tissues\,” Y12SR meetings are held across the U.S. and internationally\, rapidly becoming a recognized component of addiction recovery treatment centers. \nEach meeting consists of both a 12-Step-inspired sharing circle and a guided yoga practice\, incorporating movement (asana)\, breathwork (pranayama)\, and meditation—an approach described as “taking it to the mats.” The yoga practice is designed to be accessible to individuals of all body types and experience levels. Open to those struggling with addiction as well as their loved ones\, Y12SR serves as a complement rather than a substitute for traditional addiction recovery programs. Committed to the principles of safety and anonymity\, Y12SR provides a supportive space for healing and connection. \nHandicapped parking and a ramp are available in the back of the Yoga Garden studio.
