DESCRIPTION:Join Yoga Garden PBO for Y12SR Meetings with Jaime Warkonyi hosted on the first Sunday of every month\, 4pm-6pm. Y12SR is an innovative addiction relapse prevention program that combines the wisdom of yoga with the practical tools of 12-Step recovery programs. Guided by its theme “The Issues Live In the Tissues\,” Y12SR meetings are held across the U.S. and internationally\, rapidly becoming a recognized component of addiction recovery treatment centers. \nEach meeting consists of both a 12-Step-inspired sharing circle and a guided yoga practice\, incorporating movement (asana)\, breathwork (pranayama)\, and meditation—an approach described as “taking it to the mats.” The yoga practice is designed to be accessible to individuals of all body types and experience levels. Open to those struggling with addiction as well as their loved ones\, Y12SR serves as a complement rather than a substitute for traditional addiction recovery programs. Committed to the principles of safety and anonymity\, Y12SR provides a supportive space for healing and connection. \nHandicapped parking and a ramp are available in the back of the Yoga Garden studio. Plus\, enjoy: food and drink\, crafts\, camping\, yoga and massage\, workshops of all kinds\, guided nature walks\, a spectacular parade led by Paperhand Puppet Intervention\, songwriters circles\, advocacy booths\, live painters\, a band contest and poetry slam\, GrassRoots Vinyl Lounge\, dance\, vendors\, and kids and family fun. A music lover’s paradise. \nTickets are on sale now at their lowest rate here. Tent and RV camping are available on-site for an additional cost. Find camping information here. Traditional accommodations and short-term rental properties are located a short drive away in Pittsboro (458 West Bed & Breakfast\, Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Pittsboro\, Small B&B and Cafe\, and The Rosemary House) and Silk Hope/Siler City (Cedar Serenity Guest House and The Inn at Celebrity Dairy). \nThere is plenty of parking at the festival site\, and it costs $25 for the weekend or $10 per day per vehicle. They support reducing carbon emissions wherever possible\, so carpoolers with 4 or more occupants park for free! \nAs much as they love pets\, for the health and safety of all\, pets are not allowed at Shakori Hills. Shakori Hills cannot accept entry of “Comfort” or “Emotional Support” animals. As it is a rolling hill property\, there are slight declines and inclines\, but nothing too steep. This main thoroughfare provides good (though slightly rugged) access to all the music and is very close to their food area\, as well as all the handicap-accessible camping and parking areas. \nMobility-impaired parking is available on a first-come\, first-served basis and is divided into Van-Accessible spaces and regular-width spaces. Activities will include: \n\nGetting messy with visual arts.\nMoving and grooving with music and dance.\nDiving deep into your journals\, stories\, and conversations.\nGetting silly with random activities.\nProtecting space for some “serious” relaxation.\nPlaying hard with some big all-camp games.\n\nThe day will include a variety of workshops in the morning and afternoon: \n\nDrumming\, songwriting\, and music jams.\nBook and printmaking.\nFinger painting and body art.\nForaging and nature mandalas.\nArchery and ultimate frisbee.\nNap time with Kora music.\n\nThe camp day will also include morning and closing circles\, a small-group check-in\, and an invitation to begin the day with meditation\, movement\, or art. Guest artists will share about their Artful Life\, with a chance to reflect on your own journey after hearing their story.
