DESCRIPTION:You do not want to miss The Inn at Celebrity Dairy’s annual Open Barn hosted every Saturday\, Feb 14-Apr 18\, 12pm-5pm. Explore the barn\, scratch a mama goat behind the ears\, and cuddle with some adorable baby goats. This is a great opportunity to learn more about small farm life\, with plenty of fun for the whole family. The price is $10 per person at the gate\, with kids ages 2 and under receiving free admission. The Inn offers homemade lunch and other goodies for sale (including vegetarian options) for an additional cost. \nOpen Barns are rain or shine\, so if it’s cold\, make sure to bundle up\, and if it’s wet\, wear your boots! Most of the event takes place under cover (and the baby goats will help keep you warm)! Free parking is available on-site. No pets are allowed. \nBook a stay at the inn to get in on all the baby goat fun\, including daily baby bottle feedings! 2-hour private barn tours are also available throughout the season (February-April 2026). Celebrity Dairy will guide you through how to feed the goats and answer all your goat-related questions. Bookings are $225 for groups of up to 15 and $15 per additional guest. We all have similar physical abilities as tasters; it’s just a matter of being shown the mental pathways that wine professionals take when tasting selections. \nThe real motivation behind blind tasting is not to impress a roomful of people with your crazy\, spot-on guess. Trained Sommeliers still make wrong guesses all the time! The reason is that it makes you a better taster\, breaking down the why and the how without any preconceptions about what is in the glass. You’ll be tasting 3 reds and 3 whites from classic regions. This will be a very fun and informative class led by Fearrington Wine Director Troy Revell. \nA few small bites from Chef Gagne are included\, and wines tasted will be available for purchase at the end of the event. The class will take place on the Terrace behind The Fearrington House Restaurant. This $75 all-inclusive wine class is non-refundable. DESCRIPTION:Join Triangle Land Conservancy for a New Year’s Day Hike on Thu\, Jan 1\, 9am-11:30am at White Pines Nature Preserve. Join TLC Trail Guides Steve G. and Pam M. on this relaxed\, social hike to get outside and start the year right! White Pines Nature Preserve contains species not typically found in the North Carolina Piedmont\, but they remain here from the last ice age because the surrounding rivers create a microclimate. \nThere will be multiple stops along the way to learn about the preserve’s ecology and history. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and warm layers. and bring a full water bottle along. This is a free event\, but registration is required. If registration is closed\, please email Amaya Horner at ahorner@triangleland.org to be added to the waitlist. \nCURRENT MASK POLICY \nTLC seeks to build a supportive\, mask-friendly environment in all collaborations with staff and the public. Please wear a mask if you are not vaccinated or if it makes you feel more comfortable. They also encourage eligible individuals to receive their COVID-19 vaccine and booster.
