Read more about recent happenings in our blog: Hop Into Spring\, Sustainable Styled Shoot at Old Lystra Inn. \nTravel is a job creator\, economic engine\, educator\, pro-family and pro-health.\n• Travel is one of America’s largest industries.\n• The 2020 report* showed that travel and tourism in Chatham County directly employed more than 514 people.\n• The report also measures the positive impact of tourism on taxes. In 2020\, visitor-related business in Chatham County generated approximately $48.1 million in revenue and $2.3 million in local sales tax and property tax revenues. This is an estimated tax savings of $60.01 per county resident. \n*North Carolina Division of Tourism\, Film and Sports released the results of the annual study conducted by the U.S. Travel Association.

DESCRIPTION:Join Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge for their Taste of Spring – Vegan Cooking Class on Sun\, May 7\, 11am-2pm\, located at their Pavillion. If you’re looking to expand your culinary skills in the kitchen\, then you won’t want to miss this vegan cooking class with Chef Nikki May. The menu for this event includes: \n\n\nFocaccia Sandwiches with Seasonal Veggies \n\n\nGreek Salads \n\n\nStrawberry Blondies \n\n\nDecadent Brownies \n\n\nTickets are limited! This event will be partially hands-on and will include a full meal. And since some of Nikki’s talk will include information on vegan egg substitutes\, there will also be time to visit some of PFAR’s wonderful chicken residents at the end of class!
