You will also taste an array of foods that pair with bubbly. Along the way\, expect to have fun\, learn a lot\, and experience sparkling wine in a completely new way. \nFri\, Apr 14: Class Two – Savoring Italy\nSip your way to La Dolce Vita as you journey through four of Italy’s richest wine regions. Embrace the Slow Life and pause from the chaos of your daily lives and learn to mindfully engage food\, wine\, and each other with your five senses. You’ll leave equipped to engage time at the table as a moment of connection and beauty. \nFri\, June 9: Class Three – French Indulgence\nIn France\, local cheese and wine are an important part of daily life\, not a “guilty pleasure” or something reserved for “cheat day.” Simply put\, daily indulgence adds beauty and pleasure to the human experience. As you savor four French wine and cheese pairings\, you’ll immerse yourself in this age-old tradition and learn the art of simple indulgence.

Women and their families are taking care of the land and providing their communities with freshly picked berries and flowers\, produce\, outdoor experiences\, farm school\, Christmas trees\, and more. \nApex Flower Farm\, in partnership with six other farms in the Apex area\, is opening up to show you how they do what they do! Join them for She Farms Apex 2023 on Sat\, Apr 15\, 10am-3pm. Tour their farms\, enjoy the landscape\, and learn about local agriculture. Plus – enter to win a fun farm surprise goodie basket at any tour location! Participating farms include: \n\nFarrells Creek Farm.\nJordan Lake Christmas Tree Farm.\nPack House Farm.\nSun Star Farm School.\nJean’s Neighborhood Market.\nCloer Family Vineyards.\nApex Flower Farm.\n\nTours start at the top and bottom of every hours. You choose your route – start at any farm you like. All of their tours require walking. Each location is a working farm with limited handicap accessibility and a likelihood of muddy terrain. Bathroom facilities are limited. This event takes place rain or shine. Advance purchase required. Early registration is $20 per carload. After Apr 1\, the price increases to $25 per carload. \nPlease note: this is not a pet-friendly event – no dogs\, please. Some of their farms have working animals\, and others require no pets for food safety considerations.

Read more about recent happenings in our blog: Hop Into Spring\, Sustainable Styled Shoot at Old Lystra Inn. \nTravel is a job creator\, economic engine\, educator\, pro-family and pro-health.\n• Travel is one of America’s largest industries.\n• The 2020 report* showed that travel and tourism in Chatham County directly employed more than 514 people.\n• The report also measures the positive impact of tourism on taxes. In 2020\, visitor-related business in Chatham County generated approximately $48.1 million in revenue and $2.3 million in local sales tax and property tax revenues. This is an estimated tax savings of $60.01 per county resident. \n*North Carolina Division of Tourism\, Film and Sports released the results of the annual study conducted by the U.S. Travel Association.
