You’ll feel rested\, nurtured\, befriended\, and inspired. Camp days will include movement\, thanksgiving\, play\, a selection of different workshops\, leisurely lunches\, a check-in with a small group\, and circles to begin and end the day. Along with lots of permission to do what you are called to do\, including a lot of beautiful “nothing” if that is what you choose\, Clapping Hands Farm invites you to bring home a new commitment to yourself and the things that make you happy. \nLouise Omoto Kessel will be your guide for this week\, along with an excellent selection of guest artists. Louise is a storyteller and a printmaker\, and she loves to felt\, collage\, and make all manner of things. She is also the founder and director of Clapping Hands Farm and the mother of two young adults. \nTrans\, non-binary\, gender-fluid\, and gender-creative humans who want to participate in Women’s Week Camp are welcome! Ages 18+ are welcome. The cost is $325 per person. Scholarships are available\, and no one is turned away. Chatham County residents receive a $25 discount. You may sign up by the day. SUMMARY:Twilight Tours at Carolina Tiger Rescue
DESCRIPTION:Carolina Tiger Rescue’s popular Twilight Tours run from March through October (Daylight Saving Time) on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings. Tours are for adults only (guests ages 18 years and older). Twilight tours are a more intimate experience to meet CTR’s animals. During these tours\, guests are the only visitors in the sanctuary. The work of the day is done\, and the guests have the sanctuary all to themselves. Enjoy a quiet evening with the cats\, and you might just be lucky enough to be serenaded by the lions!  After all\, they are still wild animals!  As with all their tours\, they cannot guarantee what the cats will do\, but it’s hard to have a bad evening with the animals. \nThe 2026 schedule will begin on Sun\, Mar 8\, and run through Sat\, Oct 31. The timeframe provided in this event listing is an estimate – please check your tickets for the exact time slot. Your Twilight Tour will last for about 1 ½ hours. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Trained volunteer tour guides will walk you through the animal sanctuary. You will learn about the various species living at Carolina Tiger Rescue and the challenges they face in the wild\, as well as the difficulties they encounter in captivity. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and take photos\, but please note that there will be no physical contact with the animals. \nAdvance tickets are required for attendees (no walk-ins available). Tours are offered from April to October on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings\, rain or shine. The cost is $32 per person\, and a maximum of 25 people may attend each tour. DESCRIPTION:Golfers\, grab your clubs for a day of fun and fellowship for a good cause as the Central Carolina Community College Foundation hosts its 12th Annual Chatham County Golf Classic on Wed\, May 21\, 9am-2pm at Chapel Ridge Golf Club. The format for the Chatham County Golf Classic is four-person Captain’s Choice. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams in each flight. Shotgun starts at 9am\, with lunch from 1pm-2pm.  \nThe Chatham County Golf Classic registration form can be downloaded from the Foundation’s website. Registration is also available by contacting CCCC Director of Community Engagement Alexandra Dowdy at (919) 718-7338 or by email at adowdy@cccc.edu. \nThe proceeds from the Golf Classic will be used to help provide scholarships and other financial assistance. DESCRIPTION:Join Bar T Horsemanship for their annual Obstacles and Trail Clinic on Sat\, May 16\, 9am-4pm. This year\, they are combining these two clinics. A few of the challenges they will address include: \n\nBuddy sour/herd sour horses.\nRider confidence.\nCrossing water.\nGait transitions from walk/trot to canter/lope.\nJigging on the trail.\nStanding on a loose rein.\nFollowing too close.\nSpeed control.\nSoftness in the horse’s body.\n\nIn addition to the obstacle field\, they will include some obstacles on the trail. The fee is $275\, and the clinic is limited to eight participants.  \nClinics start promptly at 9am. The property opens at 8am\, so please arrive early to settle in and have your horse cared for. They usually start with a meet-and-greet on the barn deck\, then proceed to tack and ride\, depending on the clinic. All clinics include a hearty lunch with drinks and dessert. They have limited facilities to board your horse overnight if you are planning on attending a multiple-day clinic. They also have trailer hookups if you plan to spend the night. \nAll clinics are for every discipline\, every kind of horse\, and any skill level rider! SUMMARY:Twilight Tours at Carolina Tiger Rescue
DESCRIPTION:Carolina Tiger Rescue’s popular Twilight Tours run from March through October (Daylight Saving Time) on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings. Tours are for adults only (guests ages 18 years and older). Twilight tours are a more intimate experience to meet CTR’s animals. During these tours\, guests are the only visitors in the sanctuary. The work of the day is done\, and the guests have the sanctuary all to themselves. Enjoy a quiet evening with the cats\, and you might just be lucky enough to be serenaded by the lions!  After all\, they are still wild animals!  As with all their tours\, they cannot guarantee what the cats will do\, but it’s hard to have a bad evening with the animals. \nThe 2026 schedule will begin on Sun\, Mar 8\, and run through Sat\, Oct 31. The timeframe provided in this event listing is an estimate – please check your tickets for the exact time slot. Your Twilight Tour will last for about 1 ½ hours. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Trained volunteer tour guides will walk you through the animal sanctuary. You will learn about the various species living at Carolina Tiger Rescue and the challenges they face in the wild\, as well as the difficulties they encounter in captivity. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and take photos\, but please note that there will be no physical contact with the animals. \nAdvance tickets are required for attendees (no walk-ins available). Tours are offered from April to October on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings\, rain or shine. The cost is $32 per person\, and a maximum of 25 people may attend each tour. Please reach the information below before purchasing your tickets: \n\nAll tours go out rain or shine. Golf carts are available to assist guests as needed. If you have accessibility concerns\, please call 919.542.4648 to make arrangements before your visit.\nGPS may not provide accurate directions to CTR’s location.
