DESCRIPTION:Join Chatham County Cooperative Extension and the NC State Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Chatham County for Lifelong Gardening: Making Gardens More Accessible on Thu\, Apr 16\, 9am-12pm at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center. This workshop is designed to educate the public about ideas\, tools\, and techniques to help make the joys and benefits of gardening more accessible as they age. The Lifelong Gardening Workshop will focus on three main areas: \n\nModifications to the garden: Alternative garden layouts\, plant selections\, and container choices.\nPreparation of the gardener: Garden session plans\, warming up\, and proper tool use techniques\nTool selection: Choosing proper tools and adaptive options.\n\nThis event is held indoors and costs $15 per person. SUMMARY:Paper Puppet Making
DESCRIPTION:At Paper Puppet Making\, class will begin with designing a large paper mask. You will use markers\, crayons\, stencils\, and more. Next\, you will turn the paper mask into a 3-D form and assemble the body by attaching a wooden dowel to the back. Finally\, you will dress up your puppet with tissue paper. Supplies are included. Instructed by Leigh Babcock. This one-class session takes place Wed\, Dec 3\, 6pm-7:30pm. Registration opens Mon\, Oct 27\, and closes Mon\, Dec 1. \nThis event is held indoors at the new Chatham County Parks\, Recreation\, and Cultural Resources (CCPRCR) Arts Center\, located at 964 East Street\, Suite 105\, Pittsboro\, NC 23712\, on the backside of the building.
