DESCRIPTION:The Big What? is a multi-night outdoor Summer music festival and campout hosted by Big Something and Possum Holler Productions. Now in its 10th year\, It has become one of the bands’ favorite traditions\, with fans\, friends\, and family in attendance from across the country. Each year\, the festival features a musical and artistic experience curated by Big Something with many of the bands’ favorite local\, regional\, and national touring artists. This year’s event takes place Thu\, Aug 21-Sat\, Aug 23 at the Shakori Hills Community Arts Center. Get your tickets here. \nPast performers include: Vulfpeck\, Cory Wong\, Sammy Rae & The Friends\, Butcher Brown\, Maggie Rose\, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong\, Daily Bread\, Too Many Zooz\, Sunsquabi\, The Nth Power\, Becca Stevens\, Larry Keel\, Dopapod\, Tauk\, Aqueous\, Toubab Krewe\, Everyone Orchestra\, Jimkata\, Consider The Source and many more! \nCAMPING \nTent camping (or hammock camping) is encouraged and included in the ticket price. General admission camping will require a short walk from the parking area. Please camp in designated areas only. Personal campfires are strictly prohibited. Wooded campsites are claimed on a first-come\, first-serve basis. Please come fully prepared for an outdoor summer environment with hot days and cool nights. Check below for a list of what to bring. \nPARKING \nGeneral Parking is free and included in the ticket price. Please carpool with as many people as possible to help us make room for everyone and limit our carbon footprint. \nPETS \nThey love animal friends\, but they ask that you please leave them at home for this event. Please do not bring your dog\, cat\, or squirrel on a leash or any other pet. They cannot make any exceptions. Any vehicle that arrives with a pet will not be allowed to enter the festival. SUMMARY:Repotting Houseplants Bootcamp
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year! Join For Garden’s Sake for their Repotting Houseplants Bootcamp on Sat\, Jun 28\, 10am-11:30am at O’Kelly Chapel. In this lecture-based demonstration\, learn everything you need to know to up-pot and re-pot your plants for optimum health and growth. Pruning tips will be discussed to improve the plant’s well-being as it thrives in its new pot. \nAfter the demonstration\, you’ll have the chance to repot your own plant! Bring ONE houseplant (2–6 inches in size) and learn by doing. Plants must be no larger than 6 inches. Whether you’re new to houseplants or a seasoned plant parent\, this workshop will leave you equipped with the skills to repot all your houseplants this season! \nThe fee is $25 per person and includes all necessary materials and supplies\, as well as a coupon to shop at the Garden Center. \nTo secure your spot\, payment must be made at the time of registration. Registration without payment will be discarded. All classes are non-refundable. To receive credit towards another class\, you must email at least 24 hours prior. Canceling within the 24-hour window forgoes the ability to transfer your credit(s) to another class. Classes may be canceled by the garden center due to low sign-ups or inclement weather.
