There are no fees to participate. The Downtown Social District is outside. Accessibility inside is business-dependent. Parking is free and available within walking distance to the event. Sell your vintage\, antiques\, and secondhand goods\, share items you’re ready to pass along\, or simply come hunt for a good find. Shop\, wander\, and enjoy food and drinks from The Plant businesses throughout the day – grab coffee from Metal Brixx and Brunch at Ta Contento. Find vintage\, antiques\, secondhand goods\, jewelry\, furniture\, rugs\, lamps\, tools\, and oddities. \nThink cafe meets flea market\, meets arts and crafts\, meets Facebook market. It’s meant to be a gathering spot for children and dogs and a little neighbor-to-neighbor trading. You might also see some local produce pop up from Little Pond Gardens and other tenants! \nThe vendor fee is $15 – you can apply here. Free and convenient parking. Free entry. Fully accessible. Family\, kid\, and leashed pet friendly. \nMost events are rain or shine; if they have to cancel\, they will do so as far in advance as possible. Leashed\, well-behaved pets are allowed outside; pet policies indoors vary by individual business. The Plant is accessible to guests and will do its best to accommodate any additional requests. SUMMARY:Juneteenth Black Arts Festival
DESCRIPTION:Community Organizing for Racial Equity (CORE) welcomes you to participate in their Annual Juneteenth Black Arts Festival on Sat\, Jun 20\, 2026\, 2pm-6pm at the Chatham County Fairgrounds. Since 2018\, the Juneteenth event has undergone significant transformation\, growing from its initial location\, which accommodated 100 people\, to one that now draws over 3\,000 attendees from across the Triangle region. \nJuneteenth Black Arts Festival is a dedicated space of reverence for the impact of Black arts and culture on American culture. They commit to offering an opportunity for Black artists and entrepreneurs to build relationships and increase their exposure across communities. They honor the creative genius and spirit of excellence that prevails within the Black community because they recognize barriers that remain in place today\, excluding them from mainstream business opportunities. \nAll are welcome to this free community event. They have quite a festival planned for this year’s celebration\, which will highlight Black artists\, both local and from afar; educational opportunities about Juneteenth\, the history of the celebration\, and the resilience of Black culture through Black arts; and a vision for liberation. Attendees can also enjoy live entertainment\, art\, a Black business expo\, food trucks\, a heritage walk\, and kids’ activities\, all while challenging stereotypes and building pride in the dynamic heritage of Black Americans and American culture. This year’s event will also include a Spades Tournament.
