SUMMARY:Cool Creek Farm Summer Camps
DESCRIPTION:Join Cool Creek Farm for Summer Camps\, hosted during select weeks in June\, July\, and August 2026. Camp days follow an easy flow that starts with a morning circle and conversation\, and reading aloud of quality children’s literature. The bulk of the day is spent with campers choosing their own activities and using their imaginations. Campers can snack whenever they like\, but lunch is eaten together\, sometimes as a picnic under the Bald Cypress or giant Ash tree\, and then they read some more! Camp weeks are enhanced by a special visitor every Wednesday morning. A structured activity or form of entertainment is shared with the whole group. Seasonal free-play options throughout the day include: \n\nSports\, games\, and play structures.\nCrafts.\nCreek and sand play.\nVisiting with the goats and collecting eggs.\nFort building and tree climbing.\nSlip-n-sliding with a break for homemade popsicles.\nTrail walks and campfires.\n\nCamps occur on a 26-acre farm in Pittsboro\, NC\, run by Camp Director Melissa Frey and her adult daughter\, Marinne. Melissa provides structure\, safety\, and supplies to help campers accomplish their ideas for the day. Melissa is passionate about the benefits of significant free-play time for all ages\, away from electronics. SUMMARY:Summer Camp at New Beginnings Farm
DESCRIPTION:New Beginnings Farm offers Summer Camps specializing in teaching basic balanced positions and horsemanship\, and in providing fun outdoor activities. This camp is perfect for horse lovers of all ages and levels who want a hands-on experience with horses. They have beginner school horses perfect for the most beginner and timid of riders\, as well as intermediate/advanced horses who can school higher-level dressage movements and jump 3’3 courses. New Beginnings Farm is all about meeting individuals’ wants and needs\, so they can facilitate both English and Western riding. Riding sessions will include trail rides\, riding with cows\, mounted games\, jumping\, dressage\, lunge lessons\, and bareback riding\, depending on the camper’s riding level and desires.  \nWhen not riding\, campers will learn all about horse care and participate in horse-related arts and crafts. The day is finished off with a self-packed lunch and supervised swimming. Campers with their own horse are welcome to keep their horse at New Beginnings Farm for the duration of the camp at no additional charge. They keep their camp numbers low to provide a more personal and safe environment\, so be sure to let them know if you are interested in attending so they can reserve your spot! Riders of all levels are welcome to their camp! They can introduce campers to horses for the first time or continue the education of more experienced riders.  \nWhat do campers need to participate? \nCampers will need to wear long pants for riding and closed-toe shoes for being in the barn. Helmets are required while riding\, but New Beginnings Farm has a selection of helmets available for borrowing for the duration of the camp. Campers will also need to bring a packed lunch\, water\, a change of clothes\, and a towel for swimming.

Alongside learning essential cooking techniques\, kids enjoy outdoor adventures such as hiking scenic trails and playing in a nearby creek\, fostering a connection with nature and promoting active\, healthy lifestyles. Such a camp offers a unique blend of culinary arts and outdoor adventure\, making it an enriching summer experience that nurtures both creativity and a love for the natural world. DESCRIPTION:The Art Party Camp at Clapping Hands Farm\, hosted Mon\, Jun 15-Fri\, Jun 19\, 9am-2pm\, is a family camp for parents and young children to enjoy together. Each day\, the Clapping Hands Farm team sets out a spectacular array of visual arts exploration\, and a different guest artist shares music and dance experiences for an all-around fun time. At their art party\, come ready to: \n\nFinger paint.\nMake colorful slime.\nPlay in shaving cream.\nDraw with pastels\, colored chalk\, and other mediums.\nLearn to embroider on burlap or sew your own stuffed animal.\nMake your own toys.\n\nAnd so much more! Much of the day will be for adults and children to enjoy together. Each afternoon\, they offer a workshop with their guest artist specifically for creative exploration and rejuvenation for parents\, while other artists and camp counselors work with the children. Singing games provide a lively morning circle\, and days will end with a closing circle and a story told by Louise. \nThe cost is $350 for the first child + parents and $275 for each additional child. It is $50 for babies and toddlers under 2. Ages 2-8 and their parents are welcome. Per-day registration is $75 for the first child + parents\, $50 for each additional child\, and $10 for babies and toddlers under 2. SUMMARY:Carolina Tiger Rescue: Discovery Camp

This weeklong camp\, designed for rising 3rd-5th graders\, allows your child to experience the sanctuary’s incredible world. They will visit the animals daily\, learn about the essential role carnivores play in their natural habitats\, find out what it takes to be a wildcat veterinarian\, practice wildlife biology skills\, and help some of the tigers express their creativity through painting!  Each week of camp is limited to 14 campers. To sign up\, you need to complete the registration forms and provide payment. DESCRIPTION:New Beginnings Farm offers Summer Camps specializing in teaching basic balanced positions and horsemanship\, and in providing fun outdoor activities. This camp is perfect for horse lovers of all ages and levels who want a hands-on experience with horses. They have beginner school horses perfect for the most beginner and timid of riders\, as well as intermediate/advanced horses who can school higher-level dressage movements and jump 3’3 courses. New Beginnings Farm is all about meeting individuals’ wants and needs\, so they can facilitate both English and Western riding. Riding sessions will include trail rides\, riding with cows\, mounted games\, jumping\, dressage\, lunge lessons\, and bareback riding\, depending on the camper’s riding level and desires.  \nWhen not riding\, campers will learn all about horse care and participate in horse-related arts and crafts. The day is finished off with a self-packed lunch and supervised swimming. Campers with their own horse are welcome to keep their horse at New Beginnings Farm for the duration of the camp at no additional charge. They keep their camp numbers low to provide a more personal and safe environment\, so be sure to let them know if you are interested in attending so they can reserve your spot! Each afternoon\, they offer a workshop with their guest artist specifically for creative exploration and rejuvenation for parents\, while other artists and camp counselors work with the children. DESCRIPTION:New Beginnings Farm offers Summer Camps specializing in teaching basic balanced positions and horsemanship\, and in providing fun outdoor activities. This camp is perfect for horse lovers of all ages and levels who want a hands-on experience with horses. They have beginner school horses perfect for the most beginner and timid of riders\, as well as intermediate/advanced horses who can school higher-level dressage movements and jump 3’3 courses. New Beginnings Farm is all about meeting individuals’ wants and needs\, so they can facilitate both English and Western riding. Riding sessions will include trail rides\, riding with cows\, mounted games\, jumping\, dressage\, lunge lessons\, and bareback riding\, depending on the camper’s riding level and desires.  \nWhen not riding\, campers will learn all about horse care and participate in horse-related arts and crafts. The day is finished off with a self-packed lunch and supervised swimming. Campers with their own horse are welcome to keep their horse at New Beginnings Farm for the duration of the camp at no additional charge. They keep their camp numbers low to provide a more personal and safe environment\, so be sure to let them know if you are interested in attending so they can reserve your spot! At their art party\, come ready to: \n\nFinger paint.\nMake colorful slime.\nPlay in shaving cream.\nDraw with pastels\, colored chalk\, and other mediums.\nLearn to embroider on burlap or sew your own stuffed animal.\nMake your own toys.\n\nAnd so much more! Much of the day will be for adults and children to enjoy together. Each afternoon\, they offer a workshop with their guest artist specifically for creative exploration and rejuvenation for parents\, while other artists and camp counselors work with the children. Singing games provide a lively morning circle\, and days will end with a closing circle and a story told by Louise. \nThe cost is $350 for the first child + parents and $275 for each additional child. It is $50 for babies and toddlers under 2. Ages 2-8 and their parents are welcome. SUMMARY:Summer Camp at New Beginnings Farm
DESCRIPTION:New Beginnings Farm offers Summer Camps specializing in teaching basic balanced positions and horsemanship\, and in providing fun outdoor activities. This camp is perfect for horse lovers of all ages and levels who want a hands-on experience with horses. They have beginner school horses perfect for the most beginner and timid of riders\, as well as intermediate/advanced horses who can school higher-level dressage movements and jump 3’3 courses. New Beginnings Farm is all about meeting individuals’ wants and needs\, so they can facilitate both English and Western riding. Riding sessions will include trail rides\, riding with cows\, mounted games\, jumping\, dressage\, lunge lessons\, and bareback riding\, depending on the camper’s riding level and desires.  \nWhen not riding\, campers will learn all about horse care and participate in horse-related arts and crafts. The day is finished off with a self-packed lunch and supervised swimming. Campers with their own horse are welcome to keep their horse at New Beginnings Farm for the duration of the camp at no additional charge. They keep their camp numbers low to provide a more personal and safe environment\, so be sure to let them know if you are interested in attending so they can reserve your spot! Camp dates are below: \n\nMon\, Jun 15-Fri\, Jun 19\, 8:45am-2pm.\nMon\, Jun 29-Thu\, Jul 2\, 8:45am-2pm.\nMon\, Jul 13-Fri\, Jul 17\, 8:45am-2pm.\nMon\, Aug 3-Fri\, Aug 7\, 8:45am-2pm.\n\nThe cost is $550 per camper EXCEPT for week 2\, which is $440 per camper. See more Summer Camps in Chatham County. \nFAQs \nWhat age or level does my kid need to be? \n They typically recommend that campers be 5 years old or older and comfortable being away from their parents for the day at camp. Riders of all levels are welcome to their camp! They can introduce campers to horses for the first time or continue the education of more experienced riders.  \nWhat do campers need to participate? \nCampers will need to wear long pants for riding and closed-toe shoes for being in the barn. Helmets are required while riding\, but New Beginnings Farm has a selection of helmets available for borrowing for the duration of the camp. Campers will also need to bring a packed lunch\, water\, a change of clothes\, and a towel for swimming.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Circle City chef for a week of outdoor culinary skill-building during this Farm to Table Outdoor Cooking Camp: Summer 2026\, hosted Mon\, Jun 15-Fri\, Jun 19\, 8:45am-3pm! Campers\, ages 7+\, will start the day tending and harvesting in the beautiful Little Pond Gardens\, a privately owned garden space with an outdoor kitchen and acres of trails\, a creek\, and nature to explore. \nThis camp is designed to engage children in hands-on cooking activities using fresh ingredients harvested directly from an on-site garden. Alongside learning essential cooking techniques\, kids enjoy outdoor adventures such as hiking scenic trails and playing in a nearby creek\, fostering a connection with nature and promoting active\, healthy lifestyles. Such a camp offers a unique blend of culinary arts and outdoor adventure\, making it an enriching summer experience that nurtures both creativity and a love for the natural world. The entire day will be spent outside. All food is prepared in their rustic outdoor garden kitchen space. \nKEY FEATURES \n\n\nGarden-to-Table Cooking: Campers participate in harvesting fresh vegetables and herbs from the garden\, then use these ingredients in cooking sessions to prepare simple\, wholesome meals and snacks.\nOutdoor Exploration: Daily hikes on shaded trails lead kids to unique natural destinations\, offering opportunities to observe wildlife\, learn about local ecosystems\, and develop outdoor skills.\nCreek Water Play: Children splash and explore the creek\, discovering aquatic creatures and engaging in supervised water play that encourages curiosity and sensory experiences with nature.\nHands-on Cooking Instruction: Friendly\, skilled instructors guide campers through cooking basics and more advanced techniques appropriate for their age\, including measuring\, mixing\, safe knife skills\, and\, if outdoor cooking is involved\, fire management.\nNature-Based Learning: The camp integrates environmental education\, teaching kids about nutrition\, food origins\, and ecological stewardship through interactive activities such as nature crafts and wildlife observation.\nSocial and Life Skills: Beyond cooking and nature\, campers build confidence\, teamwork\, problem-solving abilities\, and respect for the outdoors in a supportive\, fun environment.\n\nThe price for campers is $395 per week\, with a $25 discount per sibling. SUMMARY:Art Party Camp at Clapping Hands Farm
DESCRIPTION:The Art Party Camp at Clapping Hands Farm\, hosted Mon\, Jun 15-Fri\, Jun 19\, 9am-2pm\, is a family camp for parents and young children to enjoy together. Each day\, the Clapping Hands Farm team sets out a spectacular array of visual arts exploration\, and a different guest artist shares music and dance experiences for an all-around fun time. At their art party\, come ready to: \n\nFinger paint.\nMake colorful slime.\nPlay in shaving cream.\nDraw with pastels\, colored chalk\, and other mediums.\nLearn to embroider on burlap or sew your own stuffed animal.\nMake your own toys.\n\nAnd so much more! Much of the day will be for adults and children to enjoy together. Each afternoon\, they offer a workshop with their guest artist specifically for creative exploration and rejuvenation for parents\, while other artists and camp counselors work with the children. Singing games provide a lively morning circle\, and days will end with a closing circle and a story told by Louise. \nThe cost is $350 for the first child + parents and $275 for each additional child. It is $50 for babies and toddlers under 2. Ages 2-8 and their parents are welcome. Per-day registration is $75 for the first child + parents\, $50 for each additional child\, and $10 for babies and toddlers under 2. Since pricing is so complicated\, no discounts are available for this camp\, but scholarships are available\, and no one is turned away.
