DESCRIPTION:Join Frog Hollow Outdoors for Kayak Basics at Weaver Creek on Sat\, Jul 19\, 11am-1pm at Jordan Lake State Recreation Area. If you’re new to kayaking or are interested in trying it out\, this class is a great place to start! They cover basics in kayak nomenclature\, wet-exit procedure\, and what we refer to as the “building-block strokes.” Participants will also be introduced\, through demonstration\, to some more advanced skills and strokes. Ages 10 and up are welcome. Pricing can be found on the website. Nature photography possesses the potential for a significant positive impact\, but unethical practices can also result in harm. These events have been so popular and successful\, and they hope this one will be the best yet! PFAR vegan potlucks are great opportunities for vegans and vegan-curious individuals to meet like-minded people\, engage in meaningful conversations\, and share delicious food. Board games are available on-site\, but please feel free to bring any games from home to share. \nLike always\, this event is free! Here are a couple of important notes: \n\nPlease bring your own plates\, forks\, bowls\, and other eating utensils from home to help make the event environmentally friendly and reduce the use of disposables.\nPlease also bring a note card with the list of ingredients in your dish(es) to help those with specific food allergies.\n\nThere is an ADA-certified porta-potty on site\, and they have also installed a portable handwashing station. Please note: Animal residents will not be available during this event\, except for the cows\, which may approach the Pavilion fence line.
