DESCRIPTION:Join The Plant for Upcycled Art Pop-Ups\, hosted on select dates in January and February. Print from a large selection of handmade stamps on thrifted/old/vintage clothing. Bring in things you loved and make them feel new again. A selection of t-shirts\, totes\, kitchen towels\, and more will also be available for purchase. The cost is $10 per person and includes unlimited black ink. \nPop-ups will take place on the following dates: \n\nSat\, Jan 24\, 2pm-6pm.\nSat\, Feb 7\, 2pm-6pm.\n\nSip and shop the Chatham Beverage District\, part of the Chatham County Craft Beverages & Country Inns Trail\, with local beers from bmc brewing\, wines and ciders from Starrlight\, spirits from Fair Game\, and sake from Koshu. Local dining available at Kingston 99 Kitchen and Ta Contento. \nFree parking is available on-site. Leashed\, well-behaved pets are allowed outside; pet policies may vary by individual business. DESCRIPTION:Join Chatham County Cooperative Extension for Creating Diverse Habitat for Pollinators and Other Beneficial Insects on Wed\, Feb 18\, 2pm-5pm at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center (CCACC). This in-person workshop will discuss how to create habitats for pollinators and other beneficial insects. The target audience is farmers and gardeners. \n\n\nNC State University\, in collaboration with N.C. Cooperative Extension and the NC Botanical Garden were awarded a two-year grant from the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program to study pollinator and beneficial insect habitat on farms. The team will present a workshop to share results from this project. Drawing on lessons learned over the three years\, the team developed practical guidance and recommendations for getting started\, which will be shared during this workshop. \n\n\nSeating is limited for this free event\, so registration is required. This event takes place indoors in Halls A\, B\, and C. The space is ADA-compliant. Free parking is available on-site. No pets allowed.
