DESCRIPTION:During Spring 2025 Session\, Kim McCullough\, the Artist and Founder of ArtzHub\, will guide young art enthusiasts step-by-step through the process of drawing in black permanent marker on acid-free white art paper. With Kim’s skilled\, compassionate guidance\, your children will learn to draw animals\, people\, food\, flowers\, insects\, landmarks\, architecture\, mythical/magical creatures\, and more. When the drawing is complete\, students will enjoy learning how to use different media to finish their drawings: marker\, colored pencil\, watercolor paint\, oil pastel\, and chalk pastel\, as well as fun ways to combine different media. \nClasses occur every Tuesday\, Apr 8-May 27\, 5pm-6pm. The fee for this class is $162 per person. Ages 5-11 and 11 months are welcome.

SUMMARY:Stream Cleanup at Jordan Lake Farrington Point
DESCRIPTION:Join Frog Hollow Outdoors for a Stream Cleanup at Jordan Lake State Recreation Area. Help beautify our local streams\, rivers\, lakes\, and other waterways. This trip is free\, but donations are appreciated to help Frog Hollow continue offering these trips. Canoes only for this trip. Please note that if you select only one seat in a canoe\, you will be paired with a second person. \nSCHEUDLE \n\nSun\, Jun 15\, 2pm-5pm.\nSun\, Jul 20\, 2pm-5pm.\n\nAges 8 and up are welcome. Pricing can be found on the website. Trips take off from the Farrington Point Boat Ramp. \nKNOW BEFORE YOU GO \n\nAll guests will be provided with a canoe\, a personal flotation device (life vest)\, a paddle\, trash bags\, and disposable gloves. The recommended packing list can be found here. \nAdvanced online registration is required. Trips may be cancelled if the minimum group size of 45 is not met. Please note that environmental factors may impact the planned curriculum for the day. Gratuity for guides/instructors is always appreciated. \nBeginners are welcome; a basic knowledge of how to steer your boat is strongly encouraged. This trip is not appropriate for children under 8; children under 13 must be in a canoe with an adult\nEstimating the time spent on water for river trips can be a challenging task. Numerous variables can affect the duration of a trip. A few considerations for this are water level and flow\, group experience\, managing a capsized canoe or kayak\, and other relevant factors. Guests may be asked to assist with the shuttle. Shorter distance trips can take 3–5 hours\, longer distance trips can take 4–7 hours.\nParticipants during winter months must wear cold-weather paddling gear appropriate for the air and water temperatures. Frog Hollow may be able to provide cold-weather paddle clothing to those who request it.

SUMMARY:4-H STEM in Nature Camp
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy an awesome three-day camp for youth ages 5-9 and 10-14 at the 4-H STEM in Nature Camp hosted Mon\, Jun 16-Wed\, Jun 18\, 8:30am-3pm. Campers will participate in STEM-based educational sessions\, crafts\, hiking\, nature exploration\, and more! Enrollment space is limited and processed on a first-come-first serve basis. \nCampers will need to bring a bag lunch each day. Enrollment space is limited. The cost is $160 per person. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available – please inquire with the Cooperative Extension/4-H office for more information on how to apply. They do not take electronic payments – cash or check only. Please note: No arrivals will be accepted before 8:20 a.m. Campers must be dropped off and picked up on time—a fee will be assessed for late pick-ups.
