During this special event\, heart2heartnc offers the space to love fully\, grieve deeply\, and bring comfort to yourself and the community. Cathy Brooksie Edwards will lead you through a powerful journey of breathwork\, light movement\, and healing touch. As you travel the transformative spaces of the fall season\, musicians Amy Durso\, Lolly Dunlap\, Sheila Fleming\, and special guests Will Ridenour and Richard Edwards will provide a soulful soundscape. Hands-on healers will be present to provide light energy work during the soundscape’s rest period. \nPlease bring your own yoga mat\, water\, a blanket\, and any props that support your comfort as you relax in the stillness of your tender heart. Chairs will be available. Feel free to arrive several minutes early to prepare your spot and settle into your sacred space for participation. This free community event at Starrlight does not require advanced registration. Tax-deductible donations are welcome and support the ongoing work of heart2heartnc as they bring needed healing to the community. They are ecstatic to announce that Chef Baptist Knaven\, former owner and Chef at Provence in Carrboro\, has agreed to cook their upcoming wine dinner. He’s teaming up with Tyler Morgan of Authentique Vin to craft a truly unforgettable French experience in honor of the famous French Chef Jacques Pépin\, whose 90th birthday is approaching. \nBorn and raised in the Netherlands\, Chef Baptist came to the US in 2003 to open Café Zito in Morehead City. It was the first Mediterranean/Tapas-style bistro on the southern coast and became immensely popular. In 2011\, he moved from the coast and took over the small French restaurant\, Provence\, in Carrboro. Chef Baptist developed it into one of the finest French bistros around\, earning many accolades in magazines\, guest appearances at various local restaurants\, teaching classes at Southern Season\, and a five-time guest chef at the Beaufort Wine and Food Festival. It became a top-five “Sunday Brunch” restaurant on OpenTable’s national list of best restaurants. In 2023\, Chef Baptist sold the restaurant to focus on another passion – dog training and competition. Bring reusable tote bags and plan to explore the many local vendors. You also might chat with the farmers\, see old friends\, or meet new ones! It’s a welcoming\, inclusive\, and friendly atmosphere that encourages healthy\, happy living. \nFearrington Farmers Market has more than 3 dozen members and is now in its 30th season. Not all vendors are there every week\, but some vendors are there every week\, year-round. Each market features live music. Vendors include Celebrity Dairy\, In Good Heart Farm\, and bmc brewing. See their full list of vendors. \nCome early if you’d like to review what is being offered; sales begin at the scheduled time\, signaled by the bell. Bring along small bills ($20 or lower) to pay for your purchase. Some vendors accept credit and debit cards\, and most will accept checks. This event takes place outdoors\, rain or shine.
