SUMMARY:Photographing 3-D Art
DESCRIPTION:Join the Chatham Artist’s Guild for a Photographing 3-D Art workshop on Sun\, Apr 26\, 2pm-4pm. Photographing 3-D artwork presents unique challenges. How do you capture the dimensionality\, surface quality\, colors\, and texture of an object? Join Amy and Greg Wandless in their studio to learn how they capture the unique aspects of their beautiful and functional pottery and woodworking\, from setting up a piece to be photographed to some helpful tips on editing your photos. Find out how they developed their techniques – what’s worked for them in the past and what to look out for. You’ll have an opportunity to discuss photographing your own artwork; they will even set up a few pieces brought by participants to see how lighting and background enhance 3-D artwork! \nTo register\, please click here before Sun\, Apr 19\, 2026. This workshop is open to adults\, teens 14 and older\, and CAG members in Chatham County. Class size is limited to 12 people. SUMMARY:Farm To Story at The Fearrington Barn
DESCRIPTION:Join the Chatham Arts Council and EbzB Productions for Farm to Story on Thu\, Apr 30\, 6:30pm-8:30pm in The Fearrington Barn. This multi-media event is based on stories and wisdom from Chatham County farmers\, featuring a curated photography exhibit from Andrew Akin Photography\, a theatrical performance\, and a documentary film screening. \nThis project was commissioned by the Chatham Arts Council. Doors open at 6:30pm\, the performance starts at 7:30pm\, and the film screening begins at approximately 8pm. This free event takes place indoors. Free parking is available on-site.
