As a non-combat volunteer working to preserve Ukraine’s independence\, Philip offers a human perspective on the courage\, resilience\, and quiet heroism of everyday Ukrainians living under extraordinary pressure. \nThis talk explores what it means to show up in the face of fear\, how communities endure unimaginable disruption\, and how hope persists even in the shadow of war. \nCome early or stay late for a chance to sip and shop the Chatham Beverage District\, part of the Chatham County Craft Beverages & Country Inns Trail\, with local beers from bmc brewing\, wines and ciders from Starrlight\, spirits from Fair Game\, and sake from Koshu. All levels are welcome\, especially beginners. This class is in collaboration with Story Connection. Click here to get your tickets! \nWorkshop participants will have a chance to be invited to perform in a Mill Town Yarns Story Jam in front of a live audience. For the $80 enrollment fee\, that means you’re only paying $10 an hour!  What a deal to learn from one of the best and share an experience with other eager students! \nINSTRUCTOR BIO \nHope Wilder shares riveting personal narratives and teaches the craft of true storytelling\, drawing on personal experience\, to teens and adults in Durham\, NC.
