SUMMARY:Art Party Camp at Clapping Hands Farm
DESCRIPTION:The Art Party Camp at Clapping Hands Farm\, hosted Mon\, Jun 15-Fri\, Jun 19\, 9am-2pm\, is a family camp for parents and young children to enjoy together. Each day\, the Clapping Hands Farm team sets out a spectacular array of visual arts exploration\, and a different guest artist shares music and dance experiences for an all-around fun time. At their art party\, come ready to: \n\nFinger paint.\nMake colorful slime.\nPlay in shaving cream.\nDraw with pastels\, colored chalk\, and other mediums.\nLearn to embroider on burlap or sew your own stuffed animal.\nMake your own toys.\n\nAnd so much more! Much of the day will be for adults and children to enjoy together. Each afternoon\, they offer a workshop with their guest artist specifically for creative exploration and rejuvenation for parents\, while other artists and camp counselors work with the children. Singing games provide a lively morning circle\, and days will end with a closing circle and a story told by Louise. \nThe cost is $350 for the first child + parents and $275 for each additional child. It is $50 for babies and toddlers under 2. Ages 2-8 and their parents are welcome. Per-day registration is $75 for the first child + parents\, $50 for each additional child\, and $10 for babies and toddlers under 2. Since pricing is so complicated\, no discounts are available for this camp\, but scholarships are available\, and no one is turned away. Upon arrival\, present your Accessible Parking Placard to the event security personnel stationed at the entrance of the accessible parking lot and drop-off location for entry. MOSAIC also has multiple accessible parking spaces\, centrally located in front of building entrances throughout the campus.  \nAt this time\, MOSAIC at Chatham Park does not offer sensory kits or quiet spaces for Autistic and Neurodivergent individuals. There will be a sharing for parents and families on Fri\, Jul 17 at 4pm\, followed by a potluck dinner! \nThe cost is $350 per teen. Ages 13-19 are welcome. Both wheelchair-accessible portapotties and indoor restrooms are open to the public. MOSAIC at Chatham Park’s common spaces around campus are wheelchair accessible for public use.  \nAccessible parking spaces and a drop-off location are available at 120 Mosaic Blvd\, Pittsboro\, NC 27312\, located in the 79°West and Hops & Berry Taproom parking lot. Upon arrival\, present your Accessible Parking Placard to the event security personnel stationed at the entrance of the accessible parking lot and drop-off location for entry. MOSAIC also has multiple accessible parking spaces\, centrally located in front of building entrances throughout the campus.   \nAt this time\, MOSAIC at Chatham Park does not offer sensory kits or quiet spaces for Autistic and Neurodivergent individuals. However\, they do offer a children’s play zone located beside the Philip H. Kohl MOSAIC Family Commons.
