Camp weeks are enhanced by a special visitor every Wednesday morning. A structured activity or form of entertainment is shared with the whole group. Seasonal free-play options throughout the day include: \n\nSports\, games\, and play structures.\nCrafts.\nCreek and sand play.\nVisiting with the goats and collecting eggs.\nFort building and tree climbing.\nSlip-n-sliding with a break for homemade popsicles.\nTrail walks and campfires.\n\nCamps occur on a 26-acre farm in Pittsboro\, NC\, run by Camp Director Melissa Frey and her adult daughter\, Marinne. Melissa provides structure\, safety\, and supplies to help campers accomplish their ideas for the day. Melissa is passionate about the benefits of significant free-play time for all ages\, away from electronics. Camp days follow an easy flow that starts with a morning circle and conversation\, and reading aloud of quality children’s literature. The bulk of the day is spent with campers choosing their own activities and using their imaginations. Campers can snack whenever they like\, but lunch is eaten together\, sometimes as a picnic under the Bald Cypress or giant Ash tree\, and then they read some more! Camp weeks are enhanced by a special visitor every Wednesday morning. A structured activity or form of entertainment is shared with the whole group. Seasonal free-play options throughout the day include: \n\nSports\, games\, and play structures.\nCrafts.\nCreek and sand play.\nVisiting with the goats and collecting eggs.\nFort building and tree climbing.\nSlip-n-sliding with a break for homemade popsicles.\nTrail walks and campfires.\n\nCamps occur on a 26-acre farm in Pittsboro\, NC\, run by Camp Director Melissa Frey and her adult daughter\, Marinne. Melissa provides structure\, safety\, and supplies to help campers accomplish their ideas for the day. Melissa is passionate about the benefits of significant free-play time for all ages\, away from electronics. She is thrilled to share her farm and watch the kids find their way and feel joy in this setting. \nCAMP DATES & DETAILS \nCamp is held during the following weeks: \n\nMon\, Jun 15-Thu\, Jun 18\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Jun 22-Thu\, Jun 25\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Jun 29-Thu\, Jul 2\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Jul 13-Thu\, Jul 16\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Jul 20-Thu\, Jul 23\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Jul 27-Thu\, Jul 30\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Aug 10-Thu\, Aug 13\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Aug 17-Thu\, Aug 20\, 8:30am-2pm.\n\nEach week is limited to 8-16 campers\, ages 6-9 (rising 1st-4th graders)\, with an adult-to-camper ratio of 1:8 or better. SUMMARY:MOSAIC Back-to-School Book Drive
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a MOSAIC Back-to-School Book Drive on Fri\, Aug 21\, 5pm-7pm. MOSAIC at Chatham Park is partnering with the local nonprofit Chatham Reads to host a gently used children’s book drive and a live storytime with Johanna Banana. To learn more about Chatham Reads\, visit: https://www.chathameducationfoundation.org/chathamreads. Stick around afterward for live music from Liquid Pleasure!  \nThis event is FREE and open to the public\, but registration is required.  \nAnticipate bag checks and security screenings upon entry. Food or beverages purchased outside MOSAIC\, weapons\, and illegal substances are prohibited. Food and beverages will be available on-site for purchase – be prepared to present your receipt to event security. Pets are welcome. Dogs must be leashed at all times. Please clean up after your pet and dispose of pet waste in the appropriate bins (on-site pet waste stations are located throughout the property).  \nThis event is held outdoors on the Philip H. Kohl MOSAIC Family Commons. Free event parking is available at 367 Freedom Parkway\, Pittsboro\, NC 27312. Guests can park in the Greek Kouzina parking lot and the adjacent parking lot. See more events hosted by MOSAIC at Chatham Park. \nACCESSIBILITY \nWheelchair-accessible event restrooms are available at the Philip H. Kohl MOSAIC Family Commons\, located at 457 Freedom Parkway\, Pittsboro\, NC 27312\, behind the Tommy Edwards Stage. Both wheelchair-accessible portapotties and indoor restrooms are open to the public. MOSAIC at Chatham Park’s common spaces around campus are wheelchair accessible for public use.  \nAccessible parking spaces and a drop-off location are available at 120 Mosaic Blvd\, Pittsboro\, NC 27312\, located in the 79°West and Hops & Berry Taproom parking lot. Upon arrival\, present your Accessible Parking Placard to the event security personnel stationed at the entrance of the accessible parking lot and drop-off location for entry. MOSAIC also has multiple accessible parking spaces\, centrally located in front of building entrances throughout the campus.  \nAt this time\, MOSAIC at Chatham Park does not offer sensory kits or quiet spaces for Autistic and Neurodivergent individuals. However\, they do offer a children’s play zone located beside the Philip H. Kohl MOSAIC Family Commons.

DESCRIPTION:Join the NC Arts Incubator and The Chatham Rabbit for their Siler City Downtown Music Series every third Fri\, Apr-Oct\, 6pm-9pm. Their free downtown outdoor concert series features a broad range of local musicians who showcase various genres representative of North Carolina. Bring the entire family! Enjoy kids’ activities hosted by local non-profits\, grab a bite to eat from one of their many rotating food vendors\, and step into a few of the downtown stores that stay open late. Thirsty Skull Brewing usually stops by to serve some pints to listeners\, and bmc brewing will make some special appearances this year as well. Siler City Downtown Music Series has featured performances from The Radio\, Impulse Machine\, Whoop\, The Magnolia Klezmer Band\, and more.
