This camp is for ages 3.5-6\, and all children must be potty-trained. Campers should bring the following items: \n\nWater bottle (filled).\nHealthy snack and lunch (please note: do not pack anything that needs cooking or reheating).\nSunscreen should be applied before camp each morning. There is sunscreen at camp. Please indicate if your child is allergic to any sunscreens and cannot use the sunscreen provided by the camp if the child forgets theirs.\nBug spray.\nClosed-toe shoes and shoes for water play (Crocs or water shoes).\nSun hat.\nChange clothes in a Ziplock Bag for accidents or wet clothing.\nTowel.\nTall socks (to avoid blisters with boots).\n\nCamp is $395 per camper per week. DESCRIPTION:Join The City Tap for Live Music with The Jive Bombers on Sat\, Jul 11\, 7:30pm-9:30pm. The Jive Bomber is a Triangle-based band that plays a variety of musical styles – including Piedmont blues\, Chicago blues\, folk\, country\, soul\, rock ‘n roll\, hokum\, and ragtime. On Saturdays\, enjoy $3.50 mimosas or a bottle for $12.50\, with your choice of orange\, pineapple\, cranberry\, or grapefruit juice. \nThis event takes place at The City Tap. There is no cover charge for this event\, but tipping the musicians is recommended. The patio is wheelchair-accessible from the back of the building. SUMMARY:Cool Creek Farm Summer Camps
DESCRIPTION:Join Cool Creek Farm for Summer Camps\, hosted during select weeks in June\, July\, and August 2026. Camp days follow an easy flow that starts with a morning circle and conversation\, and reading aloud of quality children’s literature. The bulk of the day is spent with campers choosing their own activities and using their imaginations. Campers can snack whenever they like\, but lunch is eaten together\, sometimes as a picnic under the Bald Cypress or giant Ash tree\, and then they read some more! Camp weeks are enhanced by a special visitor every Wednesday morning. A structured activity or form of entertainment is shared with the whole group. Seasonal free-play options throughout the day include: \n\nSports\, games\, and play structures.\nCrafts.\nCreek and sand play.\nVisiting with the goats and collecting eggs.\nFort building and tree climbing.\nSlip-n-sliding with a break for homemade popsicles.\nTrail walks and campfires.\n\nCamps occur on a 26-acre farm in Pittsboro\, NC\, run by Camp Director Melissa Frey and her adult daughter\, Marinne. Melissa provides structure\, safety\, and supplies to help campers accomplish their ideas for the day. Melissa is passionate about the benefits of significant free-play time for all ages\, away from electronics. She is thrilled to share her farm and watch the kids find their way and feel joy in this setting. \nCAMP DATES & DETAILS \nCamp is held during the following weeks: \n\nMon\, Jun 15-Thu\, Jun 18\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Jun 22-Thu\, Jun 25\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Jun 29-Thu\, Jul 2\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Jul 13-Thu\, Jul 16\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Jul 20-Thu\, Jul 23\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Jul 27-Thu\, Jul 30\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Aug 10-Thu\, Aug 13\, 8:30am-2pm.\nMon\, Aug 17-Thu\, Aug 20\, 8:30am-2pm.\n\nEach week is limited to 8-16 campers\, ages 6-9 (rising 1st-4th graders)\, with an adult-to-camper ratio of 1:8 or better. DESCRIPTION:The Teen Everything Camp at Clapping Hands Farm\, hosted Mon\, Jul 13-Fri\, Jul 17\, 9am-5pm\, is all about teens spending the week outside playing\, exploring\, getting artsy\, and connecting with peers and Clapping Hands’ outstanding staff. Every morning and afternoon\, they will have featured guest artists and choice classes to pick from. You’ll get to a little of everything they have to offer at camp\, thanks to their talented staff\, special guests\, and extensive store of games\, art supplies\, and cool stuff! Possibilities include: \n\nAn unbelievable variety of craft projects and art supplies to use.\nBig games like capture the flag\, ultimate frisbee\, kickball\, and rainbow tag.\nMusic jams\, instrument lessons\, dancing\, and songwriting.\nJournaling\, reading\, and discussing topics you’re interested in.\nExploring the forest\, fields\, trails\, and pond with canoes.\n\nTeens will have the opportunity to request their favorite activities\, and they will include as many of them as possible\, making sure your teen’s identity\, ideas\, and preferences are heard and valued all week long. There will be a sharing for parents and families on Fri\, Jul 17 at 4pm\, followed by a potluck dinner! \nThe cost is $350 per teen. Ages 13-19 are welcome.
