No previous dance experience required to join the class. \nTuition is is $288 and includes 8 weeks of group instruction on the Big Band dances Foxtrot and Swing for two people. This event takes place indoors and is led by instructor Lindsey Kling. In 2021\, she organized the UnityFest Concert\, featuring local musicians and music students\, to help bring the community together in the aftermath of Covid-19. In 2022 and 2023\, at events to support the missions of the Chatham County Arts Council and the Ukrainian Association of North Carolina\, Linton combined readings from her memoir with newly composed music to create an enhanced experience for listeners. More recently\, she participated in a Poetry @ The Plant event with the theme of women’s empowerment\, co-sponsored by the Women’s Advocacy Initiative. Spanish language access is also available for this program. This camp is led by Louise Omoto Kessel and Clapping Hands Farm Counselors. \nDETAILS AND LOGISTICS \nCamp is $300 per child\, with full and partial scholarships available. Chatham County residents receive a $50 discount. Day-by-day registration is available for $70 per day or $60 per day if you are a Chatham County resident. Anything Goes Spring Break Camp serves children and teens ages 7-13. They accept older campers who are interested in their Focus Group topics. They also accept younger campers on a case-by-case basis. Parents\, adults\, and older teens are also needed as Counselors or Volunteers. \nCamp at Clapping Hands Farm takes place outdoors for the most part. They generally run camp in all weather conditions unless there are hazardous driving conditions or it is cold AND wet. In other words\, if it’s raining and 70 degrees\, they will have camp. If it’s 30 degrees and not raining\, they will have camp. Anything Goes Spring Break Camp serves children and teens ages 7-13. They accept older campers who are interested in their Focus Group topics. They also accept younger campers on a case-by-case basis. Parents\, adults\, and older teens are also needed as Counselors or Volunteers. \nCamp at Clapping Hands Farm takes place outdoors for the most part. They generally run camp in all weather conditions unless there are hazardous driving conditions or it is cold AND wet. In other words\, if it’s raining and 70 degrees\, they will have camp. If it’s 30 degrees and not raining\, they will have camp.
