DESCRIPTION:Join McIntyre’s Books for the biennial return of the CrimeScene Killer Cocktail and Mystery Bookfest during the weekend of Fri\, Feb 6-Sat\, Feb 7\, 2026. The Killer Cocktail will take place on Friday evening\, 6pm-9pm. McIntyre’s Mystery Guru Pete Mock is the emcee and creator of the weekend. Pete reads something on the order of 200+ mysteries a year\, and he’s the sole judge and juror of the annual Beltie Mystery Prize\, his annual round-up of the best murder mysteries. Not only does he read ‘em all\, but he also shares his enthusiasm for the genre with everyone. \nFirst held in early 2020\, the inaugural CrimeScene Bookfest was a weekend filled with some of Fearrington’s favorite mystery authors\, who read\, held panel discussions\, and rubbed elbows at a cocktail party. This year’s killer cocktail party will be to die for! Stay tuned for a list of this year’s guest authors and more details. \nThis event is $50 per person and takes place in the Fearrington Barn. Fearrington Village is part of the Chatham County Craft Beverages & Country Inns Trail. Spring worked in every aspect of the restaurant’s operations and later became co-owner and spokesperson for Mama Dip’s\, contributing to its reputation as a beloved local institution.
