The wreath workshop includes beautiful greenery\, a bow\, a wreath ring\, and wire to finish a wreath that is 18-26 inches in diameter – perfect for most commonly-sized doors. Bring a pair of garden clippers and plastic or cardboard to lay your finished wreath on\, as sometimes sap can drain from fresh-cut greenery. DESCRIPTION:At Paper Puppet Making\, class will begin with designing a large paper mask. You will use markers\, crayons\, stencils\, and more. Next\, you will turn the paper mask into a 3-D form and assemble the body by attaching a wooden dowel to the back. Finally\, you will dress up your puppet with tissue paper. Supplies are included. Instructed by Leigh Babcock. This one-class session takes place Wed\, Dec 3\, 6pm-7:30pm. Registration opens Mon\, Oct 27\, and closes Mon\, Dec 1. \nThis event is held indoors at the new Chatham County Parks\, Recreation\, and Cultural Resources (CCPRCR) Arts Center\, located at 964 East Street\, Suite 105\, Pittsboro\, NC 23712\, on the backside of the building. For the 33rd year\, the Chatham Artists Guild proudly presents this rare opportunity to connect with local artists in an intimate setting – unlike any gallery or museum! \nTake a relaxing drive through Chatham County’s rolling hills and pastoral farmlands to visit 59 talented artists in 41 studios that dot the countryside\, with both private studios and visitor businesses participating. Meet the artists\, learn about their process and artistic vision\, and browse affordable original works of art. Grab a bite to eat in town\, pack a picnic for your road trip\, or skip the drive home and stay in one of our accommodations. \nThe Chatham Artists Guild Studio Tour is FREE and self-guided. It features artwork in all mediums at various prices\, so there’s something for everyone! \nFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS \nWhere can I find a tour brochure?\nAn interactive online brochure\, with linked Google addresses for each stop\, can be found here. Print brochures are also available at The Plant\, NC Arts Incubator\, Pittsboro Gallery of Arts\, 79° West Innovation Hub at MOSAIC at Chatham Park\, and several other Chatham County visitor businesses. \nWho is featured on the tour?\nThe tour includes 39 stops featuring works from 54 local artists. Studios are scattered throughout Chatham County\, including Pittsboro\, Fearrington Village\, Bynum\, Chapel Hill (Chatham County)\, Sanford (Chatham County)\, and Apex (Chatham County). In addition to the private studios\, tour exhibits are on display at Chatham Mills (student art) and Smelt Art Gallery at The Plant. \nWhat can I do while I’m in Chatham County? Is there somewhere to eat? To stay?\nAlong the way\, you’ll discover delicious food and drink\, eclectic shops\, and charming accommodations. Pair local food and art with a seasonal meal from one of our numerous farm-to-fork eateries. Restaurants along the tour route include Kingston 99 Kitchen and JDub’s PoBoys at The Plant\, as well as Chatham Marketplace and The Sycamore at Chatham Mills. SUMMARY:Wreath Decorating Night at Bottom of the Fox Farm
DESCRIPTION:Join Bottom of the Fox Farm for a Wreath Decorating Night on Sat\, Dec 6\, 5pm-8pm. Each participant will receive a 24″ Frasier Fir wreath to decorate however they’d like! Bottom of the Fox Farm will guide you through the basics of gluing and wiring your decorations\, as well as basic design principles\, but other than that\, this is a time for you to get your hands dirty\, let go\, be creative\, and just have fun! They hope you’ll grab a friend\, bring your holiday spirit\, and spend a couple of quality hours together. You are welcome to bring a bottle of wine or your drink of choice! They will provide cups\, as they’d prefer not to have glass sitting on the tables while you work. There will also be hot cider and chocolate\, Christmas music and a movie on the large screen\, and a small holiday market\, should you choose to do a little shopping.  \nProvided materials include: \n\nGlue guns.\nDried fruit and flowers.\nBells and ribbons.\nPinecones.\nOther greenery.\nCinnamon sticks\n\nAnd more! If you have a special decoration you’d like to use\, feel free to bring it along with gloves. One ticket is $80 plus a $2 service fee\, and reserves one wreath. If you’d like to decorate one wreath with two people\, please only purchase one ticket. All sales are final. Tickets can be transferred. This event is hosted rain or shine.
