Since the rally falls on Halloween this year\, they’re also planning special games and events for Friday evening. \nRegistration cost covers the campsite for 3 nights\, meals provided from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast\, and an event t-shirt. Additional Details: \n\nYou have the flexibility to arrive either Thursday evening or Friday at any time. Official rally events don’t begin until Friday late afternoon/evening.\nPlease note that if you wish to camp earlier in the week before the rally\, you will need to make your own arrangements through Jordan Lake State Park. Take a walk through downtown Pittsboro for an evening filled with local folklore and historical reenactments. The tour blends Chatham’s rich heritage with stories and legends\, all presented by costumed interpreters portraying figures from the town’s past. \nThe journey begins at the historic courthouse and winds through old cemeteries\, churches\, and hidden corners\, with each stop offering a window into the lives of the people and moments that shaped Pittsboro. The tour will take place on the following dates: \n\nSat\, Oct 18\, 5:30pm-7:30pm.\nSun\, Oct 19\, 5:30pm-7:30pm.\n\nEVENT DETAILS \n\nCheck-in is at 5:15pm\, with the tour starting promptly at 5:30pm both days.\nAge Requirement: 12 years and older only (no pets or strollers).\nWeather: Rain or shine (rescheduled only in case of severe weather).\nThis tour takes place indoors and outside\, lasting between 90 and 120 minutes.\nBring a flashlight. The tour will take place on the following dates: \n\nSat\, Oct 18\, 5:30pm-7:30pm.\nSun\, Oct 19\, 5:30pm-7:30pm.\n\nEVENT DETAILS \n\nCheck-in is at 5:15pm\, with the tour starting promptly at 5:30pm both days.\nAge Requirement: 12 years and older only (no pets or strollers).\nWeather: Rain or shine (rescheduled only in case of severe weather).\nThis tour takes place indoors and outside\, lasting between 90 and 120 minutes.\nBring a flashlight. DESCRIPTION:Mead Fest is an annual celebration of all things mead! Savor honey wine and discover how to craft it. Plus\, it’s a fun excuse for a mini Renaissance faire\, featuring home mead-making demonstrations\, tastings\, Renaissance music\, arts and crafts\, archery\, axe-throwing\, sword-fighting knights\, food\, vendors\, and much more. \nHoneygirl Meadery will be joining the festivities again this year. Craft beverages are also available from Fair Game Beverage Company and bmc brewing. Make sure to try Starrlight and bmc’s collaboration\, a braggot\, which combines beer and mead. Grab food from Kingston 99 Kitchen\, JDub’s PoBoys\, Metal Brixx Cafe\, and Ta Contento. \nThis year’s event takes place Sat\, Sep 27\, 12pm-5pm. SUMMARY:Come Out and Play Sculpture Show
DESCRIPTION:Dozens of artists\, creating in a myriad of media\, are represented in this annual Come Out and Play Sculpture Show\, now in its 24th year. The event takes place on a 17-acre homestead and is a gift from hosts to guests and artists. Artists do not pay a participation fee and keep all proceeds from their sales (many of the works on display are for sale). There are some out-of-state artists\, but most are local to North Carolina. Each reception is filled with fantastic art and local vendors\, free food and drink from the artists and hosts\, visits with the horses and pigs\, and live music from the North Carolina Songwriters Co-op. \nThe opening reception for 2025 is Sat\, Aug 23 and Sun\, Aug 24\, 12pm until dark. Additional receptions are hosted on the following Saturdays: Aug 30\, Sep 6\, Sep 13\, and Sep 20\, 12pm until dark. Events are free. This event is family-friendly and pet-friendly (please keep all dogs on a leash).
