DESCRIPTION:Join the Chatham County Beekeepers Association for an in-person\, one-day Intermediate Beekeeper Course on Sat\, Jan 31\, 8am-5:30pm at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center (CCACC).  The primary audience for the school is beekeepers with at least one year of beekeeping experience. This course is designed to help local beekeepers advance their knowledge and to increase the number of skilled beekeepers in the region. The course will be taught by a group of beekeepers who are not only subject matter experts but also have several years of practical knowledge and experience on the topics presented. At the conclusion of this one-day class\, participants will have received education regarding relevant beekeeping topics that will enable them to be better beekeepers and prepare them for advanced-level testing. \nThe cost is $75 for an individual attendee. Register online by completing this form and submitting it along with your payment. Registration closes at midnight on Wed\, Dec 31\, and no refunds will be given for cancellations after this date. Their skilled farmers will guide you in crafting an exquisite Christmas wreath while you learn the artistry of transforming greenery into stunning festive decor. The wreath workshop includes beautiful greenery\, a bow\, a wreath ring\, and wire to finish a wreath that is 18-26 inches in diameter – perfect for most commonly-sized doors. Bring a pair of garden clippers and plastic or cardboard to lay your finished wreath on\, as sometimes sap can drain from fresh-cut greenery. Workshops take place on the following dates: \n\nSat\, Nov 22\, 2:30pm-5pm.\nWed\, Nov 26\, 10:30am-1pm.\nWed\, Dec 3\, 9:30am-12pm.\nThu\, Dec 4\, 2:30pm-5pm.\nThu\, Dec 11\, 9:30am-12pm.\nSat\, Dec 13\, 2:30pm-5pm.\nSun\, Dec 14\, 2:30pm-5pm.\n\nThis workshop is suitable for ages 13 years and older. Attendees aged 13-15 must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the workshop. Workshops will be 2-3 hours long. The number of workshop attendees will be between 5 and 15\, depending on the project.  If fewer than 5 attendees are registered 48 hours before the workshop\, the workshop will be cancelled. \nRegistration is required for this event.
