DESCRIPTION:You do not want to miss The Inn at Celebrity Dairy’s annual Open Barn hosted every Saturday\, Feb 14-Apr 18\, 12pm-5pm. Explore the barn\, scratch a mama goat behind the ears\, and cuddle with some adorable baby goats. This is a great opportunity to learn more about small farm life\, with plenty of fun for the whole family. The price is $10 per person at the gate\, with kids ages 2 and under receiving free admission. The Inn offers homemade lunch and other goodies for sale (including vegetarian options) for an additional cost. \nOpen Barns are rain or shine\, so if it’s cold\, make sure to bundle up\, and if it’s wet\, wear your boots! Most of the event takes place under cover (and the baby goats will help keep you warm)! Free parking is available on-site. No pets are allowed. \nBook a stay at the inn to get in on all the baby goat fun\, including daily baby bottle feedings! 2-hour private barn tours are also available throughout the season (February-April 2026). Celebrity Dairy will guide you through how to feed the goats and answer all your goat-related questions. Bookings are $225 for groups of up to 15 and $15 per additional guest. Participating Chatham County farms include: \n\nThe Inn at Celebrity Dairy.\nChatham Oaks Farm (Opens at 12pm\, snacks available for purchase).\nGranite Springs Farm.\nGreen Heal Farms (Opens at 12pm).\nLittle Pond Gardens at The Plant (Opens at 12pm\, snacks available for purchase).\nLittle Way Farm (Open Saturday only).\n\nTour 30+ local\, scenic\, and sustainable farms in five North Carolina counties (Orange\, Durham\, Alamance\, Person\, and Chatham). Discover the delicious meat\, dairy\, mushrooms\, fruits\, and veggies produced in the Piedmont! Farm visits include pasture-raised livestock farms\, baby animals\, fiber demonstrations\, hayrides\, farm equipment on display\, an award-winning cheese dairy\, locally grown and fermented pickles\, newly established orchards\, food trucks\, locally grown hops\, a farm with a brewery on site\, and organically grown produce farms. \nVisualize your route with Wander Maps. Activities will include: \n\nGetting messy with visual arts.\nMoving and grooving with music and dance.\nDiving deep into your journals\, stories\, and conversations.\nGetting silly with random activities.\nProtecting space for some “serious” relaxation.\nPlaying hard with some big all-camp games.\n\nThe day will include a variety of workshops in the morning and afternoon: \n\nDrumming\, songwriting\, and music jams.\nBook and printmaking.\nFinger painting and body art.\nForaging and nature mandalas.\nArchery and ultimate frisbee.\nNap time with Kora music.\n\nThe camp day will also include morning and closing circles\, a small-group check-in\, and an invitation to begin the day with meditation\, movement\, or art. Guest artists will share about their Artful Life\, with a chance to reflect on your own journey after hearing their story. Activities will include: \n\nGetting messy with visual arts.\nMoving and grooving with music and dance.\nDiving deep into your journals\, stories\, and conversations.\nGetting silly with random activities.\nProtecting space for some “serious” relaxation.\nPlaying hard with some big all-camp games.\n\nThe day will include a variety of workshops in the morning and afternoon: \n\nDrumming\, songwriting\, and music jams.\nBook and printmaking.\nFinger painting and body art.\nForaging and nature mandalas.\nArchery and ultimate frisbee.\nNap time with Kora music.\n\nThe camp day will also include morning and closing circles\, a small-group check-in\, and an invitation to begin the day with meditation\, movement\, or art. Guest artists will share about their Artful Life\, with a chance to reflect on your own journey after hearing their story. On Friday\, the camp day is extended for a Burrito Bash potluck. \nLouise Omoto Kessel will be your guide for this week\, along with an excellent selection of guest artists. Louise is a storyteller and a printmaker\, and she loves to felt\, collage\, and make all manner of things.
