Activities will include: \n\nGetting messy with visual arts.\nMoving and grooving with music and dance.\nDiving deep into your journals\, stories\, and conversations.\nGetting silly with random activities.\nProtecting space for some “serious” relaxation.\nPlaying hard with some big all-camp games.\n\nThe day will include a variety of workshops in the morning and afternoon: \n\nDrumming\, songwriting\, and music jams.\nBook and printmaking.\nFinger painting and body art.\nForaging and nature mandalas.\nArchery and ultimate frisbee.\nNap time with Kora music.\n\nThe camp day will also include morning and closing circles\, a small-group check-in\, and an invitation to begin the day with meditation\, movement\, or art. DESCRIPTION:Join Bar T Horsemanship for their annual Obstacles and Trail Clinic on Sat\, May 16\, 9am-4pm. This year\, they are combining these two clinics. A few of the challenges they will address include: \n\nBuddy sour/herd sour horses.\nRider confidence.\nCrossing water.\nGait transitions from walk/trot to canter/lope.\nJigging on the trail.\nStanding on a loose rein.\nFollowing too close.\nSpeed control.\nSoftness in the horse’s body.\n\nIn addition to the obstacle field\, they will include some obstacles on the trail. The fee is $275\, and the clinic is limited to eight participants.  \nClinics start promptly at 9am. The property opens at 8am\, so please arrive early to settle in and have your horse cared for. They usually start with a meet-and-greet on the barn deck\, then proceed to tack and ride\, depending on the clinic. All clinics include a hearty lunch with drinks and dessert. They have limited facilities to board your horse overnight if you are planning on attending a multiple-day clinic. They also have trailer hookups if you plan to spend the night. \nAll clinics are for every discipline\, every kind of horse\, and any skill level rider! Clinics will be held at the Bar T Horsemanship facility in northern Chatham County\, off Hwy 87 (730 Pete Thomas Road\, Pittsboro\, NC). Camp days will include movement\, thanksgiving\, play\, a selection of different workshops\, leisurely lunches\, a check-in with a small group\, and circles to begin and end the day. Along with lots of permission to do what you are called to do\, including a lot of beautiful “nothing” if that is what you choose\, Clapping Hands Farm invites you to bring home a new commitment to yourself and the things that make you happy. \nLouise Omoto Kessel will be your guide for this week\, along with an excellent selection of guest artists. Louise is a storyteller and a printmaker\, and she loves to felt\, collage\, and make all manner of things. She is also the founder and director of Clapping Hands Farm and the mother of two young adults. \nTrans\, non-binary\, gender-fluid\, and gender-creative humans who want to participate in Women’s Week Camp are welcome! Ages 18+ are welcome. The cost is $325 per person. Scholarships are available\, and no one is turned away. Chatham County residents receive a $25 discount. You may sign up by the day. Katie Cousins of Fireforged Yoga is offering an outdoor\, all-levels flow class at Cool Creek Farm!  \nThe class lasts approximately 75 minutes and takes place outdoors. Please bring your own blanket/towel/mat and/or props.
