Merchandise is available on-site for purchase\, too. This workshop is perfect for a girls’ afternoon out\, a special mother-daughter bonding experience\, or a fun date for couples. \nThis class takes place at the Jordan Lake Farms Pavilion. The cost is $80 per arrangement participant and $20 for participant guest/floral helpers. The workshop includes a pumpkin-shaped cookie jar that will come in handy for the fall season\, a bucket full of flowers\, fall decorations\, step-by-step instructions\, tools\, and a glass of wine. You will leave with some specific ideas about cover crops that can become your garden’s new best friend! \nCover crops are crops that are grown before or after the vegetable crop and not harvested as produce. Instead\, they are terminated by cutting or other methods and then left to decompose in the garden to help you build soil fertility\, improve soil structure\, reduce erosion\, suppress weeds\, and increase microbial activity and soil organic content. \nThis event is held indoors and is $12 per person. DESCRIPTION:Home school? Day off from school? On vacation? Come out to Huckleberry Trail Farm on Mon\, Oct 27\, 9am-3pm for an Open Field Trip Day. Enjoy a scavenger hunt around the farm\, shoot the slingshots\, explore the corn maze\, discover the hidden gems still in the pumpkin patch\, and picnic on one of their many picnic tables. The cost is $10 per person (no minimum group size)\, and the first 100 people get a free pumpkin. No hayrides on this day. No drop-offs – the farm requires an adult to accompany any kids under 18\, so come out and enjoy the day\, too! Not all vendors are there every week\, but some vendors are there every week\, year-round. Each market features live music. Vendors include Celebrity Dairy\, In Good Heart Farm\, and bmc brewing.
