Does it make a difference if you add the fruit in the primary\, secondary\, or after fermentation? What about pectic haze – what causes it and what should you do about it? Starrlight will answer all these questions and more. You’ll also taste some examples of different fruit meads. \nThis class is $50 per person and $75 for groups of two. All class participants must be over 21! No exceptions. Register by Wed\, Jul 8 to participate. This event occurs Sat\, Jul 11\, 10am-1pm at Starrlight Mead. If you are purchasing this as a gift\, please let them know\, and they will send a gift certificate for the class for you to present to your loved one. \nThis is an intermediate class\, and attendees must have a basic understanding of home mead-making processes\, equipment\, and terminology\, as well as have made a few batches of home mead. SUMMARY:Twilight Tours at Carolina Tiger Rescue
DESCRIPTION:Carolina Tiger Rescue’s popular Twilight Tours run from March through October (Daylight Saving Time) on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings. Tours are for adults only (guests ages 18 years and older). Twilight tours are a more intimate experience to meet CTR’s animals. During these tours\, guests are the only visitors in the sanctuary. The day’s work is done\, and the guests have the sanctuary all to themselves. Enjoy a quiet evening with the cats\, and you might just be lucky enough to be serenaded by the lions!  After all\, they are still wild animals!  As with all their tours\, they cannot guarantee what the cats will do\, but it’s hard to have a bad evening with the animals. \nThe 2026 schedule will begin on Sun\, Mar 8\, and run through Sat\, Oct 31. The timeframe provided in this event listing is an estimate – please check your tickets for the exact time slot. Your Twilight Tour will last for about 1 ½ hours. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Trained volunteer tour guides will walk you through the animal sanctuary. You will learn about the various species living at Carolina Tiger Rescue and the challenges they face in the wild\, as well as the difficulties they encounter in captivity. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and take photos\, but please note that there will be no physical contact with the animals. \nAdvance tickets are required for attendees (no walk-ins available). Tours are offered from April to October on Friday\, Saturday\, and Sunday evenings\, rain or shine. The cost is $32 per person\, and a maximum of 25 people may attend each tour. There is no cover charge for this event\, but tipping the musicians is recommended. The patio is wheelchair-accessible from the back of the building.
