Come Out and Play Sculpture Show
September 17 @ 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Dozens of artists, creating in a myriad of media, represented in this annual, outdoor sculpture show (in its 21st year). The event takes place on a 17-acre homestead and much of the work is for sale. Artists do not pay a participation fee and keep all proceeds from their sales. The show is a gift from the hosts to guests and artists. The show first began after 9/11, to offer a space in the spirit of promoting kindness and connections. Artists are mostly from North Carolina, but a few are from out of state.
Each reception is filled with amazing art, free food provided by the artists and the hosts, and live music provided by the North Carolina Songwriters Co-op. Currently, the show will be held in person with adjustments made to comply with CDC guidelines. The farm offers plenty of room to maintain proper distance from other attendees and dogs are encouraged to attend with their owners as long as they are kept on a leash.
The opening party in 2022 is Sat, Aug 27 and Sun, Aug 28, noon until dark, with live music, free food, and a vast array of art. Additional receptions hosted every Saturday in September (3, 10, 17, and 24 from 2pm until dark). Events are free.
