The Siler City winery is located within an hour's drive of the Research Triangle Region; it has just the right topography for French-American hybrid vines. Loeffler and Harper planted close to five acres of vines, including Viognier, Cabernet Franc, and Chambourcin. Nestled on a 20-acre property off of Highway 421 just south of Siler City and US 64, Horizon Cellars features a generous tasting room that allows guests to overlook the fermentation tanks from above; the barrel room in the basement of the winery is the location for dinners, small corporate events, and intimate receptions. Horizon Cellars is open Thursdays through Mondays, 11am - 5pm. Guests can taste wines and purchase wine by the bottle or the glass. Horizon Cellars hosts regularly scheduled tours so that guests can learn about the wine-making process. Groups are also welcome to contact the winery about special functions and events.
