Bottomland hardwood forest. Provides a safe and legal canoe and kayak access to the Deep River. Thanks to Progress Energy, the Woodson Family Foundation, the NC Adopt-A-Trail program, and Pittsboro-Siler City CVB for funding the construction of the canoe and kayak access. Thanks also to the John R. McAdams Company, which provided pro bono site design and engineering, and to Rayvon King and the J.R. Moore & Son store, which stored supplies throughout the project.
