Meet at the back of the parking lot at 210 Renaissance Parkway in Durham, join the team of oenophiles aboard luxury coach buses, courtesy of Carolina Livery. Grape guides from the Heart of North Carolina Wine Trail will prep guests for a day of wine tasting, chat with fellow vino aficionados. Visit three wineries during the five-hour experience: SilkHope Winery, a small, scenic, family-owned spot at just over 700 feet in elevation; Cloer Family Vineyards, a relaxed and comfortable family-owned winery; and Vineyards at Southpoint, which cultivates grapes on land that has a rich farming history. Receive one full glass of vino at the first winery, and taste gourmet cheese and chocolate pairings that complement the aged grapes at Vineyards at Southpoint.

At each vineyard, receive a small bouquet of five one-ounce wine samplings like Chardonnay, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc, and learn to distinguish flavor notes, spices, and grape sweetness. After mulling over 15 tastes, savor the opportunity to shop for our favorite bottles and mingle with fellow wine-loving adventurers. Take home a souvenir wine glass to drink your purchases, take away some vino vocab to impress a sommelier.
