Farm Heritage is a one day version of the county's longest-running event, Old-Fashioned Farmers' Day (Labor Day weekend each year, now in its 36th year, Sep 2 -4).
This event brings to life agriculture from the past at Silk Hope’s Historic Farm Heritage Park, with vintage lawn and garden equipment, huge static steam engines on display, children’s activities, horse demonstrations, a flea market, great food (homemade, southern, and plentiful options), and more.
New this year, a Cowboy Shoot. Stay tuned for details.
See the Silk Hope Restored Historic Village with the most recent addition, the renovated Blacksmith Shop featuring Silk Hope’s own Master Blacksmith Peter Ross (Master of the Blacksmith Shop at Colonial Williamsburg for 25 years). Also, the Art Guild will display their work.
